On September 19th Neutral Zone attended the Springfield Rifles Showcase, observing two games in the U-16 division featuring the Springfield Pics and the host team the Springfield Rifles. Both of these highly touted Springfield, Massachusetts programs have produced Division 1 & 3 prospects, along with USHL, NAHL, NCDC draft picks in recent years. The first game was a round-robin game and the second was the championship game for the U-16 division.
