The Dubuque Fighting Saints came to Waterloo, IA battling for a playoff spot and were able to defeat a shorthanded Blackhawk team 7-2. The game started out even with a 1-1 tie through the first half of the opening period until Waterloo scored 3 unanswered goals in the final 6 minutes to go up 4-1 into the second frame. Dubuque kept it’s foot on the gas and were able to secure the win.
