This late week encounter pitted two teams in the lower half of the standings facing off against each other to see if they could gain some ground and get into playoff contention. The Bruins were missing a couple of their key contributors tonight and the Thrashers came out physically, trying to push the pace at the short handed Bruins club. The Thrashers outshot, outhit and outscored the Bruins in the 1st and would take a 3-2 lead into the 2nd period. The Thrashers really took control in the 2nd, scoring 3 . . .
