One of the Top ’04 Recruits Back on the Market

Cole Spicer is back on the market after he decommitted from North Dakota, according to Brad Elliott Schlossman of The Grand Forks Herald. We had Spicer projected as a 2023 recruit but he reportedly wanted to enroll this upcoming fall. With Spicer back on the market, he’s looking for a 2022 commitment.

A 5-foot-10 forward currently playing for the U.S. NTDP U18 team this season, he has appeared in 76 total games and has 26 goals and 22 assists for 48 points. Spicer was ranked No. 30 in our Top-300 2004 National Rankings and he is a 4.25-star recruit.

“Cole has good size as he uses his speed and quick hands to beat defenders on the rush and out of the corners,” said NZ scouts. “He works hard on the forecheck as he will win battles by using his strength and tenacity. He is a smart player with good vision and will set up his teammates for scoring opportunities as he set them up for a couple of goals, especially the pass he made in the final game. He has good size with a long reach as he is effective off of the cycle.”
