A unique preseason series featured a border battle as the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL hosted the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL. The series was ultimately dominated by the host Bobcats, who swept the weekend with a 6-2 victory on Friday night and a 7-0 win on Saturday.
