In the first game of their 6-point series, both teams had their chances in an end-to-end game that had plenty of scoring opportunities. Sun County had an early powerplay goal off a rebound and Sarnia-Lambton responded in the third period with a very similar goal while even strength. Neither team scored in the OT period and each team earned a valuable point.
