In a high-scoring contest at the Minnesota Blades Showcase held at Brooklyn Park Ice Arena, the Chicago Reapers 16U defeated the Sioux Falls Power 16U by a 9-4 margin. Chicago led 3-2 after the first period and 5-4 after the second, before erupting for four unanswered goals in the third to secure the victory. Twelve different Reapers players found the scoresheet, with forwards Nolan Shorter and David Blasiak, along with defenseman Emery Ipsen, each contributing three points.
