Meet Our New 2025 Quinn Robelle Interns

Neutral Zone is proud to announce the addition of two new interns for our Fall 2025. Each intern has a strong background in hockey and is looking to learn about the business side of the sport while gaining insight into aspects of NZ that interest them.

Vice President Brian Murphy said, “This year’s Interns have already been busy. Some of the work is grunt work. However, they will be getting necessary experience in how reports are written and posted, how we scout, and how are league rankings work.

I always say. ‘If you want to be a head coach someday, you have to know how to launder the game sweaters.” They will be doing many of the tasks our Scouting Directors handle daily, which may not be glamorous but are crucial.” Murphy added.

“They may want to work in hockey in some way, someday, and we want to be sure they learn as much as possible about what we do and how we do it. Phillipe and Maddox will be wonderful representatives of what Quinn Robelle emanated: a love for hockey with positive attitudes and quality work.”

Welcome to Maddox Lizotte and Philippe Lamarre both from Tufts University.

Maddox Lizotte

We’re excited to welcome Maddox Lizotte to the Neutral Zone team. Maddox is from Harvard, Massachusetts, and is a sophomore at Tufts University, where he is majoring in Economics with a minor in Finance. Beyond the classroom, he is a defenseman on the Tufts Men’s Hockey Team.

Before Tufts, Maddox attended St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts, where he captained the hockey team and also competed in varsity golf and baseball. After graduating in 2023, he played for the Springfield Jr. Blues in the NAHL and the Jersey Hitmen in the NCDC before committing to continue his hockey career at Tufts.

At Tufts, Maddox is a member of the Tufts Alpha Fund, a student-run global equities portfolio managing approximately $400,000 of the university’s endowment. He is also passionate about real estate, having interned at a development firm over the summer and taken part in the Tufts Real Estate Group.

Maddox is excited about the opportunity to work alongside people who share his deep passion for hockey. Welcome, Maddox.

Philippe Lamarre

We’re also excited to welcome Philippe Lamarre as one of our new interns in the Neutral Zone. Philippe is a senior at Tufts University, majoring in Biology and Biotechnology. He is also an assistant captain on the Tufts Varsity Men’s Ice Hockey Team.

Originally from Laval, Quebec, Philippe grew up in Florida playing hockey and lacrosse before moving to New England at age 14 to pursue stronger academic and athletic opportunities. He attended Pomfret School, where he captained both the Varsity Hockey and Lacrosse teams and held leadership positions as a Key Head in Admissions and a two-year Prefect. Before that, he attended Hillside School, where he also captained both teams and served as a Prefect in 9th grade.

At Tufts, Philippe served as a Civic Life Ambassador, organizing and leading volunteer and fundraising initiatives that supported the Somerville and Medford communities. On the ice, he’s known as a 200-foot defenseman with excellent skating ability, a strong first pass, and a physical presence, while also contributing offensively when opportunities arise.

After graduation, Philippe is interested in pursuing opportunities that combine engineering with biology and biotechnology, while keeping the door open to potential hockey opportunities. He is eager to contribute to the Neutral Zone team and make a positive impact in any capacity.

“These are high-achieving young men, and I am excited to see what they can accomplish and hope they learn from their time with Neutral Zone. Go Jumbos!” Murphy concluded.
