Neutral Zone scouted Friday night's CCHL tilt between the host Hawkesbury Hawks and the Renfrew Wolves. Both teams are at the periphery of the playoff cutoff and are fighting for points. It ended up being a nice contrast between the Wolves' possession time and defense, versus Hawkesbury's quick-rush offense and end to end defense. Renfrew scored twice in the first period, before the Hawks answered back with two goals in the second period. Renfrew broke through with a scramble goal in the third frame to take the three to two lead, and the eventual win.
