The hometown Vernon Vipers held a 1-0 lead through two periods, coming on a breakaway goal by defenceman Sean Leary, but could not hold on losing 4-1 to the Blackfalds Bulldogs. The difference in this game was the Bulldogs power-play as they scored three times with the extra man in the third period, with two of them coming off a double minor early in the period. Nikita Ivashchenko led the way with two goals and singles went to Luke Dahlen and Dean Toskas.
