With Neutral Zone being the go-to place to stay up to date with commitments around the hockey world, here is the latest installment of players who have committed to the NCAA.
Anthony Preskar (F, L, 6’4”, 188, Moncton Wildcats, 01/01/2007, Army)
Having split time between the NAHL’s Pueblo Peppers and the BCHL’s Salom Arm Silverbacks last season, Preskar collected 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points across 48 games. He’ll play for the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats this fall before heading to Army in 2027.
Preskar uses his size and pace to be a force.
“Preskar is a 6’4″ centre who combines his imposing size with a good overall skill set. He skates well for his size, with good top-end speed and the mobility to play a stop-and-start game. His puck skills are sharp, as he repeatedly made quick, tight moves and plays around the offensive net, consistently creating problems for defenders. He excels in and around the crease, using strength and hard work to win position, retrieve loose pucks, and maintain a net-front presence.”
Alexander Scheiwiller (G, L, 6’2”, 185, Canmore Eagles, 01/10/2005, North Dakota)
A member of the AJHL’s Canmore Eagles last season, Scheiwiller had a stellar year, posting a 2.91 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He will play at North Dakota this upcoming season.
Guerin Slezak (D, L, 5’10”, 185, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, 07/11/2006, RPI)
Slezak scored three goals, 14 points and 151 penalty minutes as a member of the USHL’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders last season. He will play at RPI in the fall.
