Pavit Mehra – Holderness, right shot forward. I told someone before the season that Mehra was going to get 80 points this year. They told me I was nuts. Through eight games he has 20 points. Now I’m no math wizard but he looks to be on pace for…

Morandom Thoughts: Exposure Cup
I spent last weekend watching games in Walpole and Foxboro. The comments below are on players that I saw play more than once and caught my eye multiple times. These are not necessarily the best players in the tournament, but they are players who I found myself looking at the roster for again and again.
Morandom Thoughts: October 15-17
Post game thoughts and evaluations from games that were played in Marlboro, Foxboro, Wellesley and Salem, NH.
Morandum Thoughts: Columbus Day Weekend
I spent my weekend watching games at Thayer, Warrior, Canton Ice House and New England Sports Village. These are the players who made an impression and my internal notes on why. Enjoy.
Morandom Thoughts: Actual post game notes October 1st through 3rd. Comments on 77 Players.
Ian Moran spent some time in the rinks on the first weekend in October. Below is a look at how his raw notes look. An interesting inside look into what ultimately becomes an NZ report.
Morandom Thoughts: September 17-19
Right from the get go I noticed Trey Jefferis on the U16 Jr. Flyers. He came on the ice with a ton of enthusiasm during warm-ups and it carried over to the game. He was strong on pucks, won battles, blocked shots and in general was a difference maker in the win versus Boston Hockey Academy. I just love seeing a kid with a ton of enthusiasm in warm-ups because it makes me think the game matters to them and they’re not just there because mom and dad want them to be there.
Morandom Thoughts: September 10-12
Justin Filippelli is as annoying as hell and I mean that as a compliment.
Morandom Thoughts: Day 1 for the boys at the CCM 68 200×85 Combine
Some Morandomness from Ian Moran
Morandum Thoughts: Next Gen Showcase
The Boston Hockey Club put on an Uncommitted Showcase at Merrimack on June 7th and 8th. I was only able to attend Game #2 on the second day, but the game had a fast pace and there were a few players that are bouncing around my brain.
Neutral Zone’s 2007’s of Interest
On a Morandum Monday, we present the 57 2007s who we have seen in person that interest us. This is an age where we solely identify and seldom evaluate. Below…
Morandom Thoughts: Thayer vs Rivers & Cunniff Hockey’s MCDC Showcase
Matthew Clute has hockey sense, puck poise and skill. He’s a kid who I’ll be watching for because I think he’s a sleeper in a sea of early bloomers.
Ben Rosenburg is a player that I did not know, but I was instantly drawn to watching him. His compete and willingness to battle for pucks during day 1’s practice stood out from his peers.
As a team the 2007 Islanders have a wagon. A wagon.
Morandom Thoughts
Will Vote and James Fisher should make sure their phones are with them on January 1st.
Jason Zaccari must have played a ton of backyard QB when he was growing up because he looks off defenders and hits the open man in stride.
Joe Fleming is a truck.
