(10) Intangibles – He is smart. He can fly. And he is poised. Aidan is a classic “draft and stash” type of player who everyone will be wondering why teams didn’t take earlier in the draft once he turns pro.

On New Year’s Day we saw Penticton travel to Vernon for an afternoon tilt against the Vipers. We were very interested to see the progress in Danny Weight’s game and…

We watched The U.S. National U18 Team take on the University of Wisconsin in a New Year’s Day matinee. Below are our single game evaluations and our post game grades….

Reid Pabich is a guy we would love to have as a teammate. His energy and compete are evident on every shift and it is obvious that Madison looks for him to set the tone. He has three assists in tonight’s match, but he was making a positive impact on the game whether he was getting points or not. Reid blocks shots, plays the body and creates chaos as an ultra quick F1. He back checks with purpose and has his head on a swivel. His attention to detail makes him a very effective penalty killer.

We like how Wyatt plays. He is hard nosed, sticks up for his teammates and plays an honest two-way game. He is at his best along walls or when he is attacking the net and this game was no different.

We watched The Gamblers take on Team USA’s USNTDP U17 Team. It was a fairly even game with Team USA’s Ryan St. Louis scoring 2 goals and being named 1st…

Devin Brosseau (4 Star Amateur Rating, NHL College Free Agent Grade — B) Forward Devin has worn a letter since his sophomore season at Clarkson University and has worn the…

Casey is uncommitted at this point, but we do not see that being the case for much longer. While he may not have the flash or showmanship of some other big name prep prospects, he does play a pro styled game right now. He is smart, abrasive and does not cheat. He is a reliable low forward in the defensive zone and in the transition game Casey always gives consistent support for his defensemen. Casey is the type of player who will earn the coach’s trust and quickly turn into a guy who is tapped on the shoulder during key game situations.

NOAH ELLIS He has played in some high level games for his age group, gone to National Camps and done well and even played Internationally at The Hilinka, but he has only played about 65 games heading into this season. This is a plus for us because he has shown rapid development in a short time and is obviously very athletic. We feel that by Christmas Noah will have taken a huge step and we are looking forward to our next viewing.

Sean Farrell (4.25 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — B+) Forward We have continued to be impressed by Sean’s play and have him currently rated as a ‘B+’ heading into the…

Gunnarwolfe Fontaine (4.25 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — C) Forward World Junior A Challenge Update: (F, L, 5’9″, 165, Chicago Steel, 09/16/2000, Northeastern)- Fontaine was an exciting player to watch…

Xander has always been strong with in an excellent compete level and he continues to have soft hands around the net with a rocket of a shot when the opportunity arises. But where we are seeing the biggest improvement to his game is his skating. He appears to have a more explosive first step and he is now able to lose defenders while rolling off the wall on a cycle. He remains un-committed, but we feel he will have college coach’s eyes on him as we head into the new year because of his professional approach to the game, his combination of strength and high level of compete and his ability to play in every game situation.

Tonight’s game against Madison was a bit lopsided as Green Bay came in with determined effort. They got off to an early lead and didn’t look back. Green Bay was…
