J20 SuperElit: Lulea vs Vasteras, February 4, 2022: Blomquist found himself on the losing end in his last game, dropping his game to Lulea J20 by a score of 5-0. He made 28 saves on 33 shots for an 85% save percentage. Blomquist showed that he prefers to play a simple game in the net, relying on his size and positioning. He did a good job of handling most perimeter shots cleanly with great rebound control, except for the last goal against that was due to a poor rebound. Blomquist has a classic European wide stance which helps his balance and stability, but it showed that it can limit his movement on cross ice plays. Despite the score, he made plenty of solid saves and was hung out to dry on a few of the goals, including a breakaway in the third period that sealed the game for Lulea. His skating ability will be one area he will need to improve on to play at the next level, but he shows that he has the potential to be an elite goalie with his awareness and play reading ability. Grade: C
