His reads were calm and deliberate, often waiting out pressure before making controlled outlets through the middle. In transition, Strömgren skated efficiently, using lateral agility at the blue line to maintain offensive possession and find safe lanes for pucks on net. Defensively, he sealed off plays along the wall, used body leverage to win retrievals, and limited second-chance looks around the crease. He won foot races and battled hard in the corners to lead to defensive zone exits. His play was simple with low-risk decisions that consistently tilted the ice in Björklöven’s favor.

Although he is a little smaller than most defenseman, he exhibits great skating ability, he is able to beat other players to pucks, and is able to join rushes effectively. In the offensive zone, Naslund jumps in on plays to keep the puck alive and present himself as a passing option to forwards. In the neutral zone, he closed gaps tight, led with his stick to disrupt entries, and sealed the wall with his body to end plays early. On retrievals, he stayed calm behind the net, shook forecheckers with quick pivots, and fired flat, hard passes up ice or banks off the glass when direct lanes closed. In his own end, he boxed out big bodies in front, tied up sticks on tips, and swept loose rebounds to safety. Overall, Näslund played a mature, low-mistake game with clear reads, clean execution, and just enough offense to swing momentum.
