Jake Sloan

Ian Moran’s Thoughts: Sloan is an extremely long right handed center who has a very smooth stride for such a big young man. His glide leg returns under him well balanced and with a flat edge. As he matures he will need to continue developing his explosiveness, but he has the stride mechanics and footwork to be a very efficient skater at higher levels. At 6’4″ 220lbs I would love to see him add some jam and nasty to his game. I really feel that his ice would open up if he added some mean. Offensively Sloan has very quick hands around the net and is very good at establishing a low center of gravity when heading to the crease. He’s a long term project, but I would think he would be an NHL development staff’s dream.
