Landon Kosior (2/14 & 2/15/20)

Weekend evaluation vs Swift Current and Brandon Wheat Kings. Landon has been upgraded.

Landon Kosior (3.75 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — C+) Defense

Landon is played bottom pairing 5 on 5 minutes, but did see time during 4 on 4 play and the second power play.. he plays with his head up, has a good first touch and makes quick decisions with the puck.. he is not a threat to carry the puck end to end, but he does move his feet after receiving a pass and has the ability to create passing lanes passing.. Prince Albert’s forwards generate / create a lot of movement through the neutral zone and Landon has the vision, anticipation and touch to make tape to tape rink wide passes that hit his forwards in stride.. defensively, he must get stronger and use his footwork to maintain net side positioning against larger forwards, but he is not a puck watcher in the D-zone and can contain sticks.. he almost looks nonchalant when retrieving pucks, but his head is up and he reads the forecheck well.. he makes good outlets to his partner and works to be an good option when his partner is under duress.. his brains & IQ give him a chance to be a real draft sleeper that looks dramatically different in 2 years
