Neutral Zone’s Brennan Poderzay, February 2, 2022: Beaupit battled to get his first win since the new year by defeating Tri-City 5-4 in his last game, stopping 26 of 30. He was stellar early as he was able to keep Tri-City off of the board in the first period and allowed his team to get the lead. Beaupit did a great job of playing big and under control, while still being able to be very agile in the crease. He kept his game simple and was able to eat up rebounds with his big presence to slow the game down for his team. One area where Beaupit struggled was when he found himself with his feet locked in scrums and traffic in front of the net. This led to 3 of the 4 goals when he was beaten upstairs by being too deep and not able to react. Overall, Beaupit did a great job of always giving himself to make a save by being in position and made some big saves in the last 7 minutes of the game to preserve the win for his team.
U20: 2022 NHL Draft Eligible Goalie Report, December 8, 2021: Last 5 game snapshot- Earning a heavy workload so far this season, Beaupit has played well in three of his last five games, putting up a record of 3-1-0-1. He has shown that he can bounce back strong from a subpar game, but will definitely look to be more consistent in his next games. Beaupit has all of the tools someone would want in a stereotypical NHL draft goaltender. He has size, strong technique, and athleticism that makes him hard to beat on first and second opportunities. His puck playing abilities are very impressive as he is able to stop many rimmed pucks, get his feet up ice to scan his options, and make short accurate passes to help his team break out clean. He has found himself in trouble on low to high plays where he does not get his feet set, as he has a tendency to continue to drift out toward the shot. Having some more urgency to beat passes and get set, even if it means sacrificing a little depth, should help him greatly because of his size and squareness.
