MHL: SKA Yunior Krasnogorsk at Bobruisk Dinamo-Shinnik

Nikita KhodorovichDinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk (MHL)MHLLC5’10”154Minsk, BLR2006Not yet rated

Game Grade: C

Comments: Khodorovich showed some good hustle tonight, chasing after loose pucks and battling hard to win possession. He was given time on the penalty kill where he was very active in attempting to shut down chances against. He was patient with the puck and held onto possession until he found a quality target. He rushed the puck up ice with speed and was able to generate a lot of speed with a smooth powerful stride. None of his skills are very notable but he plays a very well-rounded game.

Nikita PavlovDinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk (MHL)MHLLC5’11”167Vitebsk, BLR20072024-2025: B

Game Grade: C+

Comments: 2007 born Pavlov is a 2025 draft eligible Belarussian with high offensive potential. He rushed the puck up ice with confidence tonight and was able to beat opponents 1v1 with slick moves on the rush. He wasn’t afraid to get involved in battles along the boards and did not back down from post whistle scrums/trash talk. He plays with a lot of confidence for a player in his D-1 season. He made multiple cuts towards the middle of the ice with the intention of getting to the slot. He will need to continue to improve his all-around game but has showcased a strong base to build upon. He will likely be a productive offensive forward for Shinnik next season.

Arseni YeliseyevDinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk (MHL)MHLRD5’7″152Grodno, BLR2006Not yet rated

Game Grade: C

Comments: Yeliseyev is a mobile two-way defenseman with smooth skating ability. He showed off an impressive line walk with agile stops and change of direction to freeze his opponent and create a lane to shoot through. He moves the puck quickly and is a solid breakout passer. He needs to work on his defensive timing and pass decisions.

Kirill BorodulinDinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk (MHL)MHLLLW6’0″165Novopolotsk, BLR20072024-2025: B+

Game Grade: B-

Comments: 2007 born Borodulin is a 2025 draft eligible forward with tremendous pace and confidence for a player his age. He builds speed in transition with a crossover heavy stride and is able to propel himself past opponents with quick feet and well timed dekes. He circled the top of the offensive zone with confidence and made active scans in an attempt to find open teammates. He tends to hold onto the puck for too long and misses out of many quality opportunities. He has the skill and confidence to create chances but needs to work on his decision-making to make the most of his talent. Kirill also showed some good effort when chasing down dumped pucks. He joined battles and worked hard to try to win possession for his team. We feel that Kirill has the potential to be a great offensive playmaker due to his skill, speed, and confidence but he will need to improve his decision making and timing to create more opportunities.

Eduard BondarSKA-Yunior KrasnogorskMHLLD6’4″176Nevinnomyssk, RUS20072024-2025: B

Game Grade: C

Comments: Bondar is a sturdy defenseman with a big frame who showed off some good physical play tonight. His skating is going to need work as he is not fast or agile enough to keep up with the top players. He was physical tonight, stepping up with powerful body checks in transition and getting a bit chippy in post whistle scrums. He moves the puck reasonably well but needs to improve his decision-making speed. Solid game for Bondar but not much potential as a pro defenseman.

Mark SlivchenkoSKA 1946 St. PetersburgMHLLC5’10”161Moscow, RUS20062023-2024: B

Game Grade: C+

Comments: Slivchenko is a skilled draft eligible forward who has split his time between SKA Yunior and SKA-1946 this season. When given the opportunity to play in a top 6 role, he has been able to produce good point totals and generate quality chances. He has quick feet and some skilled edgework which he uses very well to escape pressure. He pulls off agile changes of direction with quick stops and starts with the ability to do so without losing too much speed. He is a pass first player and is able to find teammates with timely passes due to diligent scans and good reads of defensive schemes. Slivchenko showed some great effort away from the puck tonight as well. He was unrelenting in his battles to win pucks along the boards. He kept his feet moving and made opponents’ lives difficult with his unwillingness to quit. He is unlikely to be drafted this year due to his lack of consistent production, but Mark has shown great improvements in his confidence throughout this season and his combination of speed, skill, vision, and playmaking give him a good chance to become a highly productive top 6 forward in the MHL next season with professional potential.

Arseni IlyinSKA-Yunior KrasnogorskMHLLRW6’1″181Petrozavodsk, RUSDecember 24, 2007

Game Grade: C+

Comments: Ilyin is a late 2007 birthday, not eligible until 2026 but has been very productive for Yunior in his D-2. He has great size, standing 6’2 190 lbs and looks like he may grow more in the next two years. He is not the quickest forward in the world but moves around the ice with a smooth stride and controlled movements. He makes constant scans of the ice and is always looking to move the puck towards the net. He was able to beat opponents 1v1 in transition with a series of quick cuts and well timed dekes to walk deep into the offensive zone. Ilyin was a bit less visible in tonight’s game than normal but based on his play in some of our previous viewings, everyone should expect him to be one of the MHL’s top scorers within the next few seasons.

Mikhail TsaregorodtsevSKA-Yunior KrasnogorskMHLLRW6’0″183St. Petersburg, RUS2006Not yet rated

Game Grade: C

Comments: Tsaregorodtsev is a smooth skating playmaker with some offensive upside. He showed a great ability to pick pass options and was able to thread passes through very tight lanes. He has quick feet and uses extremely agile footwork to escape from pressure with the puck. One play in particular we watched him open his hips and pull off a very tight turn around an attacking opponent and then cut into open space. Without the puck Tsaregorodtsev is not very helpful. He constantly cheats up ice in the defensive zone and shows no interest in applying himself on defense. There was one specific play where he chased after a dumped puck with an opponent, both were moving the same speed, and it was a true 50/50 puck. Mikhail could have easily won it if he had given an extra push and used his body to battle for possession but instead, he chose to slow up and give the other team the puck. He showed some flashes of good playmaking today but will need to improve his compete level tenfold to make it past junior hockey.

Daniil AnatskySKA-Yunior KrasnogorskMHLLC6’3″214Khanty-Mansiysk, RUS20062023-2024: B

Game Grade: C

Comments: We have not been too impressed with Anatsky this season. He plays the game with very little energy and his skating ability holds him back. He has a very short and choppy stride which generates very little power and holds him to a very low speed. He has received a lot of attention due to his over a point per game production this year, but we attribute most of his success to his linemate Nikita Surayev. There are brief moments where he is able to create chances through his playmaking, but he really requires a lot of space and some luck to complete these passes. He has a lot of trouble under pressure and is unable to beat opponents wide with his feet. He needs to increase his effort levels, there were multiple times where he was caught gliding on the backcheck and standing still in the defensive zone. Impressive point totals but we feel that he does not have the speed, skill, or offensive IQ to replicate them at higher levels.

Nikita SurayevSKA-Yunior KrasnogorskMHLLRW5’10”150Karaganda, KAZ20052023-2024: C

Game Grade: B

Comments: Surayev is a highly skilled, draft eligible forward who wears the captain’s ‘C’ on his jersey. He has a smooth and powerful stride that allows him to accelerate to top speeds with a few quick steps. He charges up ice, sparking successful transition attempts, multiple times each game. He has good vision and is able to spot open/cutting teammates as they become available with active scans of the ice around him. He has been able to showcase some skilled playmaking this season, hitting his teammates in stride with perfect timing to take advantage of changing lanes. On the powerplay he looked like a shark. He circled the zone searching for pucks and open ice to occupy, then when the perfect opportunity became available, he struck. He was able to find rebounds and scoop up loose pucks with great hustle and energy which he immediately converted into dangerous chances around the goal. Nikita scored the overtime winning goal with a great play in the defensive zone. He stepped up, catching the opponent off guard and was able to steal possession. He charged up ice with speed and was able to pull off a highly skilled move 1v0 with the goalie before tucking it in on the backhand. Surayev has made a fantastic case to be selected in the 2024 NHL draft throughout this season. He is a speedy, powerful, offensive leaning forward who is no stranger to hard work and puts his all into every shift.
