Comments: 6′ 190lbs Left shot D-man. He plays with an edge but also shows some good offensive upside. He plays hard in his D-zone and was physical in front of his own net and in the corners. Closed quickly and looking for contact. He also showed an appetite to join the rush and make plays offensively. He scored an end to end goal where he got a puck in his own slot, had room and took his ice and skating the puck beating an opposition defender wide and driving to the far post for a goal. Very nice. Later in the game he joined the rush, fell down but then tracked back all the way back to his own net to break up and odd man rush the other way. He is an all situation player playing a lot of 5v5 minutes and both special teams.

Comments: 6’4 198lbs left shot D-man. Played over 18 minutes in this game. Strong defender who uses his length very well. He has a very good stick and used his stick and length to close time and space and break up a lot of plays. His gap in the NZ was strong and aggressive and he defended his own blue line well. No power play time but was on the PK. Made a lot of good retrieval and bump plays and used his body to protect the puck in his own zone. Not a lot of offensive plays but did have one good in zone net attack. He got the puck at the blue line and cut through a seam to the net and hit the crossbar.

Comments: 6’1 203lbs left shot winger. He looks big on the ice and plays a responsible, mature game. Stayed above pucks and runs routes well. Used his size to protect pucks on the the wall and got pucks out of the d-zone along the wall well. Made some smart decisions on rushes and entered with possession when he could and chipped pucks when he didn’t have room. He played a lot of PP time and was the net front guy on the PP. He is wearing the C for his team.

Comments: 6′ 194lbs left shot 2-way skilled center. Responsible in his own zone and showed offensive upside. He is a shooter and has a very hard shot. He had 6 shots on goal in this game scoring one goal bar down from distance. He played the flank/half wall on the PP and 3 of his shots were on the PP. He was robbed on a rebound shot that was the save of the game.

Comments: Very economical movement. He set his feet well before shots and skates to his spot efficiently. He was patient on shots and read release and tracked pucks well. His glove hand looked good although there were a couple of shots that popped out of his glove hand, you can tell he is active and capable at catching pucks and controlling shots. He had some scramble plays in front and showed good footwork and compete to adjust and change angles in the scramble settings. He made the save of the night on a back door play where he adjusted and stretched for a 10 bell glove save. Solid game.

Comments: 26:39 TOI, 0G- 1A – 1PTS, 5 Hits. Very solid, tenacious defenseman. He isn’t the biggest player but he plays with an edge and welcomes contact. He led the team in hits and has a physicality to his game. He had good gap in the NZ and defended the blue well on rush plays using good footwork to get his body in front of attackers. Good PK player and got some time on PP2. He looks like a veteran out there and has a calmness to his game.

Comments: 21:19 TOI 1G – 2A – 3PTS -2 3SOG. Left shot winger. Skilled and shifty. Sees the ice well and has a lot of composure with the puck. He made a lot of skilled high level plays in tight space either evading pressure or with a little slip pass to a teammate. He played the half wall on the left side of the power play and a lot of the PP went through him. He would look to shoot or find a seam pass which he did on the back door for one of the PP goals. He had the primary assist on both of his helpers including the OT winner.

Comments: 15:03 TOI, 0pts, 2SOG Smaller right shot winger with high end speed. It was a bit of a low event game but you can see the upside with his speed. When he starts winding it up in exiting his own zone, he shows the high end speed and can attack the defense. He played a little on the PP but looked like a primary PK player and his speed and quickness is an asset on the PK. He made some good plays on the wall to exit his zone and had a couple of good OZ plays making heads up passes for scoring chances.

Comments: 19:16 TOI 0G – 2A – 2PTS -2 2SOG Smooth skating right shot D-man with good offensive instincts and composure with the puck. He skates well and is very comfortable with the puck on his stick. There was a lot of PP time in this game and this is where he shines. He runs the PP from the top as the QB and PP1 ran through him and Whitehead. He wasn’t overly physical in his own zone but instead uses body position and skating ability to help him win pucks and get pucks moving out of the zone.

Comments: 15:39 TOI, 1G – 0A – 1PTS, -1, 2SOG All situations left shot Center. Responsible in his own zone with some offensive upside. He can transport the puck through the NZ and make some plays. He looked sound on the PK taking away lanes and using his stick effectively. He had a lot of PP time in this game and played the net front/goal line spot. He scored a nice tip in goal on a seam pass from Whitehead and then set up a screen on the Whitehead tying goal.
