Comments: Showed very well in his OHL debut making 28 saves on 32 shots in the loss. He is listed at just under 6’2 and shows very good athleticism, flexibility and footwork. He plays with some swagger and looked extremely confident in the net. He was very active in handling the puck, quick to get out and stop rims and also willing to get out of his crease and make plays in front of the goal line. He has a good glove hand and caught a lot of pucks to control plays and swallowed up a lot of pucks in his mid-section as well. His tracking of the puck looks strong and that helped his rebound control. He showed explosive movement laterally and was quick post to post and good flexibility when needed. His rvh and post work is very strong.

Comments: Good skating puck moving left shot defenseman. Just under 25 minutes of ice time playing in all situations and both special teams. He registered 1 assist and had 5 shots on goal as well as 6 shot blocks. He was not afraid to get involved physically both in front of his net and in the corners. The puck is on his stick a lot when he is on the ice and he skated the puck out of the zone several times and joined the rush a lot. He was a focal point on the PP and looks to shoot when he can. Moves well along the OZ blue line and got his shots through to the net. He also dives into the play in the Ozone looking to create chances.

Comments: Steady all-around 2-way right shot defenseman. He player over 25 minutes and led the game in TOI. He plays both special teams and was on the ice in the final minutes down 2 as his team looked to try and score late with their goalie out. He is pass first on the breakout and made several nice passes to help his team exit the Dzone. He isn’t overly physical but uses his body well to defend in the corners and separate opponents from the puck. When he has possession, he shielded the puck well to buy himself time and move the puck. He had a few nice blocked shots in this game as well.

Comments: Power forward type left winger. Had a big hit off the opening draw and was ready to drop his gloves if challenged. He had some good skill plays making some skilled passes on zone entries that led to chances for but also driving the puck wide and taking it to the blue paint with authority. He is hard on the forecheck looking to make contact with the D and gain possession. He had three scoring chances on 3 shots and was a big part of the top line from Brampton.

Comments: Played over 20 minutes centering the top line for Brampton. He went 52% on face-offs, was -1 with 3 SOG and 2 scoring chances. He is a responsible 2-way center who looked sound defensively while also showing some glimpses of higher end skill. He broke up several plays in the d-zone with a good stick and good positioning and showed good awareness in the d-zone. When he had the chance, he showed he has good top speed and made some skilled offensive plays both off the rush and in the zone down low. He played both PK and PP.

Comments: Sub 6′ goalie but cover the net well and has a tall stance reminicent of Jussi Saros from Nashville. He has powerful lateral movement and good post work. He used the RVH and Overlap on bad angle shots and made good decisions with both save selections. He made several saves from above the crease on high danger rush chances as well as a big breakaway save in the third period when the game was still up in the air. He handled the puck a lot in this game and looks to be an capable puck handler but kept it simple and effective. Allowed 2 goals in this game 27/29. Looks like a veteran Major Junior goalie.

Comments: Quick, shifty offensive left winger. 5’11 170lbs uses his quickness to create chances. The puck found him a lot in this game and he had some big plays including a 2nd period breakaway as well as the games opening goal on a quick release shot from the high slot off of a pass from the corner. He released the puck quick and scored low blocker. He played the bumper position on the powerplay and carried the puck up the ice on the PP as well. He was around the puck a lot in this game, showed good jump off the draw to get to loose pucks quick. He has 1G 1A 2pts on the night with 4 shots on goal and 3 scoring chances.

Comments: Right shot, stay at home d-man. Team Captain 6’1 193lbs played just over 20 minutes and was 1 – 0 – 1 with a +1 on the game. He scored his goal on a point shot off the draw through traffic. He sent a wrist shot from the point on a faceoff win and it looked like the goalie was screened. He played Top-pair minutes and played both PK and PP. He keeps it simple and is a pass first defensive minded d-man who used the boards well to get the puck out or chip to his forwards. He looked good on rush chances against with solid gap and good stick. He used his stick well to take away time and space but wasn’t overly physical otherwise. Steady, reliable OHL D-man.

Comments: 19 Minutes TOI, 0-2-2pts +1 2SOG, 2 Scoring chances. Speedy, skilled left shot winger with good vision and play making ability. Played the point on the power play and was the primary puck carrier on PP zone entries. He was part of several tic-tac-toe passing plays that resulted in scoring chances for.

Comments: 5’10 185 right shot center, 19+ minutes TOI, 0-2-2pts, 2 SOG with 6 scoring chances. 12/25 in the faceoff circle. Centered the top line for the Petes and showed some offensive upside but was snakebite in this game. He had several high quality chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. He missed a breakaway chance and a back door tap in that went off the heal of his stick. He played both PK (3v5) and PP where he played the goal-line/net front position. He did get to the front of the net a lot which is why he was able to create 6 scoring chances but wasn’t overly physical in this game.

Comments: 6’3 big rangy top pair D-man. He takes up a lot of space on the ice with his size and reach. He played 20+ minutes and logged time on both PP and PK. He had 6 shots on goal in this game all from the point. Not overly dynamic offensively and was simply getting his shot through to the net. In this game, he looked to be a glass and out kind of player. He didn’t carry the puck much and was looking to move it quick up the ice or to his partner. He didn’t join the rush in this game and looks to be more of a stay at home, simple plays player.
