Played on Feb 14, 2026

Ontario Hockey League

Game Played in Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre

Game Sheet

Scout: Paul O’Hagan

General Game Notes: This game featured Carter George’s return to Owen Sound after being traded to the Soo in January. It was a back and forth, entertaining game where the Soo came back twice from a 2 goals down to eventually win in a shootout.

Elliot Arnett (D, L, 6’1″, 186, Owen Sound Attack, 03/12/2008)

1 Viewing

Comments: Arnett is a committed defensive defenseman playing in a top-four role for the Attack. He played a composed and positionally sound game and brought physicality and compete in his defensive zone. He maintained good gap control and always seemed to be in the right defensive position to take away lanes and limit second-chance opportunities. He logged top-pair penalty kill minutes and was trusted in all defensive situations in this viewing. We liked his willingness to engage physically, gap up, and make life uncomfortable for opposition forwards. There were a few breakdowns, one on the 4th goal, where his gap could have been marginally tighter to better support his partner. All in all, a clean game for Arnett on the backend. With the puck, he’s not trying to do too much and generally hit the head man with crisp outlets. He chipped in on offense by walking the line effectively and ripped a heavy shot on net that was tipped home. It was nice to see this from a young defender whose identity is built on the defensive side of the puck. Good outing for Arnett in this one, he showed as a reliable, coachable defensive defenseman with top-four upside who protects the net and keeps opposition forwards off balance.

Max Delisle (C, R, 6’0″, 187, Owen Sound Attack, 07/06/2009)

Comments: Delisle was a factor early on offense and showed good energy on the attack. He broke free early and rang a breakaway off the post. He showcased both his skating ability and his willingness to attack with pace in space. This young forward had the opportunity to play on the Attack’s top line and brought physicality and energy. Great early work on the cycle where he fed a few sharp passes for good open looks. Down low, he was a problem for the Soo at times. He maintained possession along the wall through strength and positioning and showed a willingness to crash the crease. We really liked his energy this evening as he was first on pucks with the kind of compete level you want from a power forward. He’s a young player earning top-line minutes and made his presence felt on the attack. His line was caught on the counterattack repeatedly in this one and the line as a group were on for a handful of goals against. A little too much run and gun for the top unit this evening ultimately hurt their chances for a win. Keep an eye on this player, early in his Jr career he is showing a physical toolkit and offensive instinct. If he continues to develop defensive-zone awareness and 200 foot game he will be a force down the middle for the Attack for years to come.

Wesley Royston (RW, R, 6’4″, 190, Owen Sound Attack, 11/22/2007)

Game Rating

C+

Wesley Royston is a physically gifted forward with a combination of size, skill, and speed that makes him an intriguing prospect. He possesses excellent skating ability for his large frame, allowing him to quickly transition into top speed. On the cycle, he demonstrated his effectiveness in generating secondary chances by maintaining pressure with his linemates and creating opportunities through clever positioning. Although he didn’t capitalize on a few key scoring chances, Royston showed flashes of brilliance, including a quality A1 chance in tight that was just wide of the mark. His size and reach were notable assets, allowing him to create separation and evade defenders with ease. With his confidence and willingness to hit hard, Royston is a promising young player worth monitoring as he adjusts to the junior game.

1 Viewing

Comments: Royston is a big framed winger (6’4′) who we were looking for big things from this season after a productive second year in Erie. He showed flashes of offensive upside in this viewing. He scored an important goal late where he got to the net-front and used his reach to tip in a shot from the point. Royston had a few quality looks in this one with good breaks down the wing but the offense was limited in this viewing. When he committed to the net-front, he was difficult to move and made life uncomfortable for the opposing goaltender. His reach and length were also evident along the walls. He used his frame effectively to win puck battles in the corners. He is a player we feel should be translating his considerable frame into a more consistent offensive and physical game. His frame is legitimate and desired at the next level and the tools are there for him. The gap between his physical upside and his current execution is the defining question for Royston to answer. If he commits to going to the net and using his size as an asset there’s a useful power forward in his future.

Peirce Mbuyi (LW, L, 5’10”, 161, Owen Sound Attack, 04/17/2008, Penn State)

Comments: Mbuyi is a competitive left winger who brings an appropriate blend of sandpaper and skill each game. He delivered a noticeable performance in this viewing, bringing pace, compete, and a polished offensive toolkit. He protected the puck in tight spaces and showed composure under pressure. He performed fearlessly in congested scoring areas – creating quick shots and passes without hesitation. He engaged physically on offense, his pick on the first goal was a heady play that created space for his teammate to attack the seam. The Attack rely on his shot on the powerplay, a lot of the play is set up to get Mbuyi an open look. We liked his work for loose pucks with the extra man, he recovered loose pucks and gave his unit the puck and kept possessions alive. He is undersized and wiry at this stage. His compete and skill more than compensate for now but he will need to work to increase his power and strength as he moves forward to play against stronger opposition at the next level. He is a player who competes above his weight class right now and is one to watch as he matures physically.

Harry Nansi (C, R, 6’3″, 188, Owen Sound Attack, 09/10/2007)

Comments: Nansi is a rugged, large-framed right winger who continues his upward trend. He has natural size and reach and we continue to see improvements in his skill game. His vision showed well tonight. His cross-ice feed to the defender on the Attack’s fifth goal was a heady play. Nansi handled the puck confidently under pressure, shrugged off an incoming check, and delivered a crisp, accurate pass. He generated a lot on the cycle where he used his size advantage, skill, and net drive to make plays in traffic. He positioned his frame effectively on the cycle and got leverage over defenders, this allowed Nansi to win more than his fair share of puck battles winning battles on the cycle. His feet remain the primary developmental focus for Nansi going forward. If he can improve his balance and overall foot speed, the combination of skill, size, reach, and vision becomes a genuinely difficult package to contain at the next level.

Callum Croskery (D, L, 6’1″, 180, Soo Greyhounds, 01/29/2008, Boston College)

Comments: Croskery continues to make positive steps forward after missing significant time early due to injury. He’s starting to find his rhythm in a Top-4 role, playing a more assertive, transition game. This was a game for Croskery to shine as the Soo fell behind twice by two goals and needed to push the pace for a comeback 6-5 win in overtime. He showed poise walking the blueline to open lanes and is playing with confidence in the offensive zone. He was active on the attack in this viewing and consistently engaged in the rush to support the Soo attack. He distributed the puck with crisp outlets. He made aggressive reads to spring forwards and handled forecheck pressure with composure. Defensively, his mobility allowed him to close gaps quickly. He defended with his feet and showed a strong active stick. We would like to see improvement in his finish and contain game along the walls and his net-front strength. There were a few moments in this one where he needed a bit more power to kill opposition cycles. As he adds strength to handle heavy corner work, he projects as a reliable, two way defender at this level.

Harrison Pangretitsch (D, R, 6’4″, 210, Soo Greyhounds, 03/29/2008)

Comments: This lanky right shot defenseman continues to show improvements in his defensive zone and physical game. His mobility and coordination have taken a step forward, allowing him to better use his reach and size as assets. Pangretitsch used his length and physical edge early to set the tone with a few well timed hits. His finish and contain along the boards was strong and stopped cycles quickly. He was trusted to kill penalties and showed improved closing speed on the penalty kill. He was able to identify when to pressure and used his reach to disrupt passing lanes. Offense has always been an area of low confidence for this player but we noted he was more comfortable as a puck carrier. He activated from the point multiple times and contributed to the Soo comeback.

Quinn McKenzie (C, R, 5’8″, 178, Soo Greyhounds, 11/28/2007, Penn State)

1 Viewing

Comments: McKenzie was electric in this viewing. He is an undersized pivot who showed he can dictate the pace of a game despite his stature. He is currently operating at nearly a point-per-game in his rookie season and he was effective tonight at generating offense. We were surprised to check the stats after the game to see he had a single assist in a 6-5 win. McKenzie was a driver for his line and repeatedly found seams in traffic and made a handful of quality feeds to his teammates for great open looks. His North-South speed forced the opposition’s back end to respect the gap, creating space on the Soo attack. He pursued pucks in the offensive zone and competed for space at the net front and was difficult to contain with his energy game down low. Keep an eye on this player as he continues to build his strength and core physical frame. He may be 5’8″, but he played a “big” game with high-end competitiveness and elite puck-tracking. He was a handful to defend in this game and a key catalyst in a comeback for the Soo.

Marco Mignosa (RW, R, 5’11”, 172, Soo Greyhounds, 04/13/2005)

Game Rating

1 Viewing

Comments: This high-skilled right winger put on an impressive offensive display in this viewing. Mignosa scored two goals and added an assist and was among the most dynamic offensive players in the 6-5 win for the Soo. His ability to maintain possession under pressure allowed him to create sustained zone time and generate quality looks all evening. He buzzed around the net with purpose, winning battles in tight and converting on chances that required soft hands and composure. His first goal showcased elite-level hands and lateral agility in the slot. He created separation from his defender with a quick move, opened his body, and buried a quick-release wrister top shelf. The Soo were down by two goals twice in this game and Mignosa was a key driver on offense to get both comebacks started. He is a wiry winger with good strength in his game but will need to continue to develop his core physical strength to help him compete for space in tighter traffic with larger defenders at the next level. This is a player who jumps off the page offensively. The combination of a quick-release shot, elite hands in tight, and the lateral mobility to create space for him and his linemates all game. Keep an eye on this player if he continues to build the strength and power areas of his game.

Colin Fitzgerald (C, R, 6’2″, 211, Soo Greyhounds, 04/01/2008)

Comments: Fitzgerald was tough to handle when he was going in this viewing. He forced a turnover that led directly to the first goal. His energy on the forecheck forced the breakdown that led to the goal. He was in on the fourth goal as well with his net drive that created enough havoc to pull defenders out of position. He is a big bodied right shot forward who can play either wing or down the middle. He showed his versatility in this one taking shifts at all 3 forward positions. Fitzgerald was effective in the face-off circle and won a number of key draws for the Soo late in the game. He showed good straight-line acceleration for a big forward and gave defenders trouble when he got a step on them. Fitzgerald has the tools – size, straight line speed, and power – to be a dominant player at this level. He left us wanting more from this outing with his overall consistency and defensive play. A few loose plays early with turnovers in his zone that extended defensive zone time and led to chances for Owen Sound.
