USHL: Muskegon Lumberjacks vs Madison Capitals, January 8, 2022: Zadorozhny stopped 16 of 21 against Madison before being pulled after the second period in a high offense game where his team won 10-6. After letting in a goal on his first shot that came from the point with traffic, he played well for a stretch until the mid point of the game. He made quality saves that came from threatening areas of the ice and was able to control most rebounds. The wheels fell off in the second half of the second period, giving up some poor goals that came from bad angles and a point shot that he did not hold onto. Zadorozhny plays a simple and calm game, allowing plays to come to him. He presents himself well with a large frame and relies on his positioning, but did not track the puck well most of the night and fought off a lot of pucks that he did see. It was definitely an off night for him, as he has shown he can string some good games together. Look for the Russian to continue to adapt to the North American style game throughout the rest of the year, as he needs to show some more consistency to improve his draft stock.

USHL: Cedar Rapids Roughriders vs Muskegon Lumberjacks, December 28, 2021: Zadorozhny faced thirty shots and stopping all of them. As the goalie for the Lumberjacks, he deserved the star of the game. What made Zadorozhny so effective was his athleticism and ability to get from post to post quickly. He’s never out of the play even if out of position a little. He plays the puck real well getting out from his net to stop rims and make breakout passes to his defenders. Zadorozhny swallowed the puck up when he needed to, not giving Roughriders any chances to bang home an easy one. Grade: A

USHL Goalie Report, November 17, 2021: In his first full weekend of action in the USHL, Platon showed why he will be one of the top goalies in the USHL. With his explosive lateral mobility and his compete level to never be out of the play, Platon stole the game on Friday in a shootout win. He continued to play with that same tenacity on Saturday but was the recipient of an unfortunate bounce in the last minute off his own defender to suffer defeat on Saturday. We will be very interested to continue to track and watch his game to see if he can reach the high potential that his game exudes. Grade: A-
