Comments: Daniele is a highly skilled offensive player with great poise when moving the puck, showing strong playmaking abilities. He does a good job staying with his man in front but needs to develop more lower-body strength to maintain positioning effectively. His awareness on point shots could improve, as he sometimes loses track of incoming plays. Defensively, he showed strong instincts by dropping down to block a pass on a two-on-one but needs to be more alert in transition, as he was caught off guard at the blue line and got planted by an opposing player. However, he quickly bounced back and continued battling. On one play, a man snuck behind him, and he wasn’t able to react in time, leading to a breakaway goal. Daniele’s offensive skills are clear, but improving his defensive awareness and reaction time will help him become a more complete player.

Jayden Lazare (D, R, 5’11”, 165, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 04/28/2007)

1 Viewing

Comments: Jayden shows good awareness when retrieving the puck, taking an extra moment to scan the ice before making a play. However, he would benefit from making quicker decisions, as he sometimes hesitates, which can lead to lost opportunities or pressure from forecheckers. Defensively, he made a costly mistake by misreading a play at the blue line, stepping up at the wrong time and allowing his man to skate past him for a breakaway. Improving his reaction time and decision-making under pressure will help him become more reliable in transition and defensive situations.

Noah Laberge (D, L, 6’0″, 187, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 10/09/2006)

Comments: Noah is an intelligent forward with a strong ability to find loose pucks and use his body to create space, allowing him to carry the puck out of the zone effectively. He moves well and has a hard, accurate shot, as seen when he fired a dangerous attempt from the faceoff dot that forced a big save. His offensive awareness is evident in his smart step-ups to get open and his quick-release, powerful shots from the point. Defensively, he does a good job covering for his teammates and retrieving pucks, but he can sometimes give too much space due to a lack of hustle, leading to costly turnovers, especially when the goalie misplays the puck. He stepped into an opponent to make a play but wasn’t able to separate the man from the puck, resulting in a dangerous scoring chance against. His positioning on a two-on-one was questionable, inadvertently allowing the opponent to bank the puck in off of him. However, he showed his offensive instincts again with a controlled walk-in from the point, ripping a snap shot that required the goalie to squeeze his arms tight to prevent a goal. With more consistency in his defensive play and urgency in transition, Noah has the tools to be an impact player.

Mavrick Brunet (C, L, 5’11”, 170, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 10/08/2006)

Comments: Mavrick is a quick-reacting forward with strong offensive instincts. He does an excellent job identifying open pucks, as seen when he jumped on a faceoff win and fired a quick, hard shot that forced a big save. His hands are a key asset, allowing him to maneuver around defenders and make smart plays, like a slick pass through a defender’s stick on a two-on-one to create a quality scoring chance. However, his lack of body strength can be a drawback, as he is often knocked off the puck too easily. With added physical development, Mavrick’s skill and awareness could make him a dangerous offensive threat.

Liam Arsenault (F, L, 5’8″, 160, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 11/26/2008)

Game Rating

1 Viewing

Comments: Liam is a high-energy forward with a strong two-way game. Defensively, he stays with his man well, using his body to delay opponents, though added upper-body strength would help him be more effective in battles. He plays a calm and intelligent defensive game, consistently positioning himself well to intercept passes. His backcheck is impressive, as he picked off a pass, quickly transitioned, and exploded up ice, though he could have taken another stride or two before firing a hard shot into the goalie’s chest. Offensively, he’s an explosive skater with excellent agility, which makes him a major asset on the forecheck. While he had a great opportunity on a three-on-one, an errant pass into his linemate’s feet cost a prime scoring chance. However, with the puck on his stick, he is both strong and creative, using quick changes of direction to keep defenders guessing before delivering sharp, accurate passes. Liam’s hustle and playmaking ability make him a dynamic presence on the ice, and with continued development in his strength and decision-making, he has the potential to be a highly impactful player.

Tyson Goguen (C, R, 5’9″, 170, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 01/28/2007)

1 Viewing

Comments: Tyson is a strong and physical forward who excels in the faceoff circle, consistently tying up his man and winning key draws. He displays excellent strength and determination when driving to the net, bullying his way through defenders. On one play, he got his stick on a cross-ice pass but sent the puck right into the goalie’s chest. Tyson is tough to get the puck off of, using his strength to lean into opponents and push with his back feet to maintain forward momentum. He battles hard in front of the net, creating traffic and making life difficult for defenders and goalies alike. Tyson’s combination of physicality, net-front presence, and work ethic makes him a challenging player to contend with in all areas of the ice.

Game Rating

1 Viewing

Comments: Will is an intelligent and skilled defenseman with excellent puck control and the ability to move well with the puck. He keeps his head up at all times, making precise zone exit passes with authority and consistently creating odd-man rushes with his smart stretch passes. His reach allows him to maneuver around opponents, and he is capable of making quick, accurate passes at full speed. Will uses his size and strength effectively, often being the first to the puck and leaning on opponents to move it out of his zone. While he was generally very active, jumping up in the play when needed, he can improve his physicality to become even more impactful. There was a moment when he identified an open man left by his winger but was slow to react, allowing the opponent to score on a top-corner shot during a power play. Will does have some areas to work on, such as avoiding stepping up too aggressively in the defensive zone, which led to a couple of missed assignments. Overall, his game is built on smart timing and decisions, and while he had a careless giveaway with a backhand pass, he showed his awareness by quickly getting back into position to block a shot. With continued development, Will has the potential to be a dominant two-way defenseman.

Maddex Marmulak (C, R, 5’11”, 157, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 08/31/2007, Cornell)

Game Rating

1 Viewing

Comments: Maddex excels in the pest role, consistently getting under opponents’ skin and drawing penalties by disrupting their play. He has excellent puck-handling skills, though he could benefit from avoiding late moves at the blue line, as this led to an offside play for his team. Defensively, he stays engaged with his man, effectively blocking passing lanes and preventing plays from getting through. Maddex was involved in a three-on-one opportunity but made the questionable decision to take a shot instead of making the extra pass. On faceoffs, he does a great job blocking out his man, allowing his team to maintain control and get the puck to the defenseman. Maddex’s ability to create chaos for the opposition, along with his puck skills and defensive awareness, make him a valuable asset in all areas of the game.

1 Viewing

Comments: Isaac is a highly effective defenseman who excels at holding the blue line and making smart plays to maintain offensive pressure. He consistently puts pucks in beneficial spots for his teammates and shows great awareness in the neutral zone, stepping up for a massive hit to disrupt transitions. At the point, he uses slick evasive moves to keep possession and create scoring opportunities. His puck-handling in the neutral zone is strong, allowing him to navigate pressure and advance play. A vocal leader on the back end, Isaac is constantly directing traffic and communicating with teammates. Off an offensive-zone faceoff, he made a quick jump to get open, received a clean pass, and fired a solid backhand that forced a strong save from the goalie. One of his standout plays came at the blue line, where he made an incredible effort to hold the puck in, quickly maneuvered past a defender, and delivered a sharp pass to set up a scoring chance. His poise, physicality, and leadership make him a key asset on the ice.

Felix Lacerte (C, L, 5’10”, 167, Shawnigan Cataractes, 06/14/2006)

Game Rating

B+

This forward’s skillset is characterized by exceptional hands and puck-moving ability, allowing him to create space and make quick, smart passes. He consistently drops into open ice to help control the puck in the defensive zone and can be relied upon to maintain possession during line changes. In the offensive zone, he excels at finding openings with his vision and patience, often using his body to shield defenders while maintaining momentum. His ability to absorb hits and keep moving is notable, as it allows him to create scoring opportunities.

1 Viewing

Comments: Felix is a skilled forward with excellent hands, using his agility to draw defenders in before making quick, smart passes to open teammates. He moves the puck efficiently through the neutral zone, setting up plays with well-timed passes. On the power play, he showcased great awareness by sneaking into the back door for a prime scoring chance, only to be denied by a big save. His creativity is a strength, but he occasionally tries to be too fancy, as seen when he lost the puck at the blue line while attempting an extra move. Under pressure in the offensive zone, he showed some hesitation, throwing the puck away instead of making a controlled play. However, his offensive instincts shine in key situations, highlighted by strong passing sequences on a two-on-one that created a quality scoring opportunity. With improved poise under pressure, Felix has the tools to be a dynamic playmaker.

Reece Peitzsche (LW, L, 6’0″, 195, Shawnigan Cataractes, 12/08/2006)

Game Rating

B

Reece Peitzsche is a skilled forward with a strong understanding of the game, often creating space and opportunities for himself and his teammates. He excels at moving the puck effectively, making intelligent passes that set up scoring chances in the offensive zone. While Reece has good speed, his short stride limits his endurance and efficiency over longer shifts. In tight spaces, Reece sometimes struggles to control the puck or create space, but he generally remains active and makes effective use of his speed to get behind defenders. To reach his full potential, Reece will need to focus on refining his skating mechanics and decision-making in high-pressure situations.

1 Viewing

Comments: Reece is a high-energy forward who plays with physicality and strong offensive instincts. He delivered an excellent open-ice hit on a defender at the point, setting the tone with his physical play. His speed and awareness allowed him to recognize an opening, explode through defenders to gain possession, and execute a quick spin pass that set up his winger for a hard snap shot. His positioning in the offensive zone was excellent, enabling him to fire a quick shot from in tight that nearly fooled the goalie. Reece also displayed great hustle, racing down the ice to beat out an icing call and then smartly tying up the puck along the boards to maintain possession. His combination of physicality, speed, and smart playmaking makes him a valuable asset in all situations.

Vince Elie (RW, R, 5’7″, 182, Shawnigan Cataractes, 04/05/2005)

Game Rating

A-

Vince Élie is a dynamic forward who excels in terms of speed and puck skills. He showcases impressive agility and quick reflexes, often winning battles for loose pucks with ease. His creative playmaking abilities make him a threat to score from anywhere on the ice, and his vision stands out as particularly strong. However, he sometimes struggles with physicality, relying too heavily on stick checks rather than engaging in body contact. While Vince is highly energetic and always moving, there are moments where he makes questionable decisions under pressure, such as throwing pucks away or hesitating to battle through contact. Nonetheless, his shooting ability and ability to thread the needle with passes demonstrate his skillset’s potential for success.

Comments: Vince is a dynamic two-way forward with a strong presence in the defensive zone. He also showed creativity on a two-on-one, receiving a pass and using the defender to bank the puck off and generate a scoring chance. Vince’s speed, awareness, and playmaking ability make him a dangerous player in all three zones.

Cole Chandler (C, L, 6’2″, 176, Shawnigan Cataractes, 05/01/2007)

B+

Cole is a physical forward who leverages his size and speed to drive the offense. He excels at using his body to create space and scoring opportunities for teammates. His ability to combine physical presence with smart decision-making and precision passing makes him a valuable asset on the team. While Cole has flashes of brilliance, particularly in his acceleration, he can be inconsistent in his engagement throughout the game. He tends to hang back in the zone and needs to come forward more quickly, especially when the puck is present. Improving his shooting technique by taking additional steps towards the net could also elevate his scoring chances.

1 Viewing

Comments: Cole is a well-rounded forward with a strong presence in the faceoff circle, winning draws cleanly on his forehand and showing great persistence in reclaiming possession after a lost draw. His size and powerful stride make him effective on the backcheck, allowing him to recover quickly and disrupt opposing plays. He moves the puck exceptionally well, consistently delivering hard, accurate passes and maintaining strong offensive flow. His skating is smooth and controlled, enabling him to make precise plays under pressure. Cole also showcased his skill with clever puck handling, executing a slick off-foot move to get around a defender before delivering a crisp backhand saucer pass to set up a scoring chance. His combination of size, skating, and playmaking ability makes him a key asset in both ends of the ice.
