QMJHL: Drummondville at Moncton

Played on October 12, 2023

Loic Goyette (C, L, 6’1″, 194, Quebec Remparts, 10/29/2005)

Game Grade: C+

Has since been traded to Quebec Remparts

Comments: Loic Goyette Drummondville Voltigeurs C+ Rating fantastic skater, strong strides and very good edge control and agility, needs to engage and get to the middle more consistently, great puck skills and does everything at top speed, processes the game very well and distributes pucks effectively from the wing position, possesses a shot heavy accurate shot and release, Didn’t log a tons of time on ice last year, but was noticeable every shift, Goyette will need more reps and experience at the Q level to continue to grow and develop and reach his full potential, another very sneaky good player on the horizon for the Voltigeurs, he has all the intangibles it takes to be a solid pro.

Lukas Landry (C, L, 5’9″, 173, Drummondville Voltigeurs, 05/17/2005)

Game Grade: C

Comments: Landry has a pro type release that is quick and produces a heavy and accurate shot. He showed a very high compete level no matter what the situation and worked equally hard to be impactful away from the puck. We think he is a very good skater with great edge control and acceleration when changing direction. Obviously everyone will look at his size, but this kid plays a lot bigger than his stature and has a fearless win at all costs mentality. His effort away from the puck showed how well he processes the game and his puck anticipation was excellent.
