Comments: Dylan is a highly agile forward with quick crossovers that allow him to accelerate and create space effectively. His forechecking is relentless, keeping his stick active and forcing an icing with his pressure. He plays with creativity and intelligence, using his speed to stay with his man defensively and force quick puck decisions. Offensively, he showed strong awareness, driving hard to the corner on the penalty kill and drawing defenders before making a sharp pass to the point for a scoring chance. He also demonstrated his ability to stretch the ice, accelerating behind defenders to receive a stretch pass. However, his physicality remains an area for improvement, as he missed an opportunity to play the body on a winger, allowing a dangerous cut to the net that resulted in a goal. With added physical engagement, Dylan has the potential to be a well-rounded, dynamic forward.

Comments: Zachary is a strong skater with excellent mobility, though he would benefit from adding size to his frame. He showcased great awareness on a zone exit, stopping quickly to evade a check before flipping the puck in for a controlled line change. His skill with the puck was evident in the offensive zone, where his slick stickhandling forced an opponent to take a penalty to contain him. However, his decision-making can be inconsistent, as he sometimes puts himself into traffic and then forces low-percentage plays. His attitude is a bit of a question mark, with visible frustration in his posture and reactions when things don’t go his way. That said, he has clear offensive potential, as shown by his quick read on a pass before unleashing a powerful slap shot. With improved composure and decision-making, Zachary has the tools to be a highly effective forward.

Comments: William is a poised forward with excellent puck control, consistently making smart plays to keep defenders on their heels. He showed strong offensive awareness, firing a shot through traffic that forced the goalie to make a difficult glove save. His ability to get pucks low is effective, but he needs to work on releasing his shot more quickly upon receiving the puck, as holding onto it in search of the perfect play led to turnovers. Defensively, he positions himself well to fill passing lanes, but he would benefit from keeping his feet moving to maximize his effectiveness. With quicker decision-making and improved defensive mobility, William has the potential to be a well-rounded contributor.

Comments: Egan is a quick and energetic forward with excellent jump in his skating, allowing him to anticipate plays and create turnovers. He read a pass developing in the neutral zone, jumped the lane for a steal, and immediately generated a quality scoring chance with a hard shot. However, his passing needs to be more direct, as he rushed some plays in the neutral zone, leading to unnecessary turnovers. While his speed is a major asset, he struggles in tight battles due to his lack of size. Adding strength to his game would make him much more effective in puck battles and board play, complementing his speed and awareness.
Elliot Dube (C, L, 6’1″, 175, Saint John Sea Dogs, 03/15/2007)

Comments: Elliot has solid vision and awareness, consistently recognizing where the puck needs to go. He made a nice play to catch an off-target pass with his reach before quickly finding a teammate with a well-placed pass. However, he needs to work on his passing accuracy and patience, as rushing plays led to an offside call. His puck control was evident when he executed a smooth dangle at the blue line before making a quick dump-in to maintain momentum. Defensively, he hustled back on the play but failed to check behind him, allowing his man to drop a pass to an uncovered player. Additionally, he needs to get his feet moving quicker when supporting along the wall in the offensive zone. With improved pace and defensive awareness, Elliot could become a more reliable two-way forward.

Comments: Nicolas is a solid defenseman with a good ability to hold the line and get pucks on net, although he had a moment where he fired a shot into the shin pads of a forward after a good opportunity. On the power play, he gets pucks through, and while he could be a bit more creative, his passes are consistently accurate. Defensively, he showed strong determination, staying with a man who had a step on him and managing to get his stick on the puck. Unfortunately, a bad bounce off his stick resulted in an own goal. Despite this, his overall defensive awareness and ability to make clean passes suggest he can be a reliable presence on the back end.

Comments: Jacob is a big, mobile defenseman with solid edgework that allows him to move well with the puck. He has great awareness, consistently recognizing where opponents are and adjusting accordingly. His confidence with the puck is growing, as he carried it effectively on multiple occasions before making quick dump-ins. However, he needs to improve his decision-making speed, as some of his neutral zone passes were intercepted. Defensively, he is tough to play against in the corners, using his size to absorb contact while maintaining control and working the puck up the wall. With continued development in puck management, Jacob has the potential to be a reliable two-way defenseman.
Evan Depatie (D, R, 5’8″, 180, Val d’Or Foreurs, 08/19/2006)
Game Rating
B+
This defenseman showcases a strong combination of skating ability and puck-handling skills, allowing him to consistently move the offense with confidence. He excels at retrieving loose pucks quickly and transitioning play, making it difficult for opponents to beat him along the wall. Evan’s speed and agility enable him to exit the defensive zone efficiently and create scoring opportunities. Evan displays smart offensive instincts, recognizing small openings to place the puck effectively. However, he needs to improve his decision-making under pressure, particularly in the defensive zone. He excels at keeping his man in front, but gaps control and acceleration require refinement to handle quick plays. With adjustments to puck management, foot speed, and defensive positioning, Evan has the potential to become a dynamic two-way player.

Comments: Evan is a skilled puck-moving defenseman who demonstrates excellent control and agility. He starts and stops quickly, creating space for himself before making smart passes to his teammates. His mobility allows him to jump up in the neutral zone effectively, though at times he steps too far forward and risks getting caught. However, his strong skating ability enables him to recover defensively. While he moves well with the puck, there were instances where he rushed decisions under pressure, such as near the red line when he opted to dump the puck to avoid contact, resulting in an icing and a defensive zone faceoff. With continued development in poise under pressure, he has the potential to be a reliable two-way defenseman.

Comments: Noah is a highly dangerous presence in the slot, consistently finding open space and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. He showcased his offensive instincts early, slipping away from his defender to receive a perfect pass before burying a shot over the glove for his first goal. His ability to get behind defenders makes him a constant threat, and his teammates are recognizing his positioning, feeding him with quality passes. He also demonstrated strong puck awareness and creativity, stealing the puck and driving to the net before using a defender’s stick to create a deflection that resulted in a goal. With his knack for finding soft spots in coverage and finishing plays, Noah is a highly effective offensive weapon.
Philippe Veilleux (LW, L, 5’9″, 170, Val d’Or Foreurs, 03/26/2007)
Game Rating
A-
Phillippe is a skilled forward with exceptional vision, often finding open areas in prime scoring locations and threading precise passes through the neutral zone. His playmaking instincts are a major asset, but can sometimes lead to turnovers when he gets overly fancy. On the other hand, his ability to create scoring chances is consistently impressive, showcasing his elite stickhandling and quick movements. Despite some physical limitations that hinder his defensive recovery, Philippe works hard on the backcheck and shows excellent positioning in front of the net. His combination of offense and physicality makes him a formidable opponent, but he may benefit from simplifying his game in certain situations to maintain awareness.
1 Viewing
Comments: Phillipe possesses a high offensive IQ, consistently making smart plays and creating scoring opportunities. He demonstrated excellent vision, quickly identifying his open man and delivering a perfect pass. On the very next shift, he cut hard to the slot and ripped a snap shot under the trapper, showcasing his quick release and finishing ability. His knack for getting his stick on loose pucks in front makes him a constant threat in the crease. While he could benefit from adding size to become even more difficult to contain in the slot, his skill and awareness already make him a dangerous offensive player. Later in the game, he took a phenomenal pass from Brisso in full stride, walked in, and rang a shot off the crossbar, further displaying his ability to create and capitalize on scoring chances.
Eduard Bondar (D, L, 6’4″, 190, Val d’Or Foreurs, 01/31/2007)
Game Rating
B-
Eduard Bondar is a physically gifted defenseman with a strong skill set that enables him to excel in various aspects of the game. He possesses impressive agility and quick changes of direction, allowing him to effectively exit his own zone and create scoring opportunities for his team. Eduard’s passing ability is also notable, as he uses clever moves to set up backhand passes with precision. However, he sometimes gets overly aggressive with the puck in tight situations, which can lead to turnovers. When playing a more straightforward game, Eduard’s strengths shine through, and he demonstrates his combination of physicality, passing ability, and explosiveness. While Eduard excels in shutting down opponents along the boards and in corners, his lack of foot speed can create challenges in certain situations. He needs to work on discipline and positioning to avoid taking unnecessary penalties or giving up goals. Despite these areas for improvement, Eduard remains a valuable asset on both ends of the ice due to his physical presence and ability to disrupt plays.
1 Viewing
Comments: Eduard is a big, physically imposing defenseman who moves well laterally for his size. While he occasionally reacts a step slow against speedy wingers, he effectively uses his reach and strength to recover and disrupt plays. His ability to shield the puck is impressive, as opponents struggled to knock him off possession, often bouncing off him in battles. However, he needs to make quicker decisions with the puck to avoid pressure and keep the play moving efficiently. With improved reaction time and puck management, Eduard has the potential to be a dominant presence on the blue line.
