We watched The U.S. National U18 Team take on the University of Wisconsin in a New Year’s Day matinee. Below are our single game evaluations and our post game grades.
Noah Grannan (4 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — C) started in net for Team USA. We thought he played very well. Noah fought through net front traffic to track pucks and controlled his rebounds. He was very quick laterally and was able to make 3 post to post saves on hard one timers from Wisconsin’s Dylan Holloway (5 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — A). Although Dylan is not in our game chart, he played a strong two-way game. He was a force at both ends of the rink. He came out on the winning end of battles and was a threat in transition. He has an explosive first step. Dylan was used in all game situations and took key face-offs in the final few minutes of a one goal game. It was easy to see why he is our 9th ranked 2020 NHL Draft prospect.
