AJHL: Okotoks vs Drumheller, March 6, 2023: Daneault has that game breaking ability and can go turn nothing into a quality chance in the blink of an eye. He is lightning quick fast in open ice and can cut in and out of traffic almost effortlessly. He makes defensemen uncomfortable with his ability to break them down and beat them in a variety of ways. Ty was dangerous the second he came into possession and was dragging pucks and putting them around defenders all night. His first assist came as he started with a cross ice pass on a breakout then raced up ice on the weak side catching a pass as he beat the weakside defender then wired it back door for Pighin to easily tap in without having to move his stick. In 1 on 1 situations he got pucks through defenders as he could pull up use them as a screen or beat them with his pace to keep them guessing. Ty assisted on the game sealing goal winning a race to a loose puck along the wall in the neutral zone chipping it just enough for Raesler to get to it and easily put it in the open net. Grade: A-

AJHL: Canmore vs. Drumheller, January 31, 2023: Daneault picked up a hat trick in the second period alone but could have had about six goals on the night. His stick was hot as his lethal accurate release was on full display. All three of his goals came from his shot that just flat-out beat the netminder with precision. His first goal came off the rush where he toe-dragged the defensemen to the middle of the ice and fired a shot all in one motion not allowing the goaltender to get set. His release is lightning quick accurate and dangerous from anywhere in the offensive zone. Shortly after he picked up a beautiful backhand pass across the ice from Yuhas in the slot to catch and release quickly to shoot high glove side. To cap off his hat trick he caught a pass in the neutral zone off the rush the defender stepped and bounced right off Ty. He kept going north for a 3-on-2 attempt, looked off the back door option and pulled the puck into his body to get the goalie to move then he beat him high short side. Daneault had a few shots hit the post and a couple where he got robbed as well. He was near impossible to slow down as he was on the receiving end of some high-quality chances that he could also create himself. Ty was able to draw defenders out to him as they needed to take away his time and space but he could smartly slip pucks around guys and then bolt to space. Daneualt added an assist on the powerplay as well where he moved off the wall to the middle of the ice to collapse the defenders then moved it down low for a one-touch pass up high and a nice finish from Danielson. Grade: A

AJHL Four Game Report, January 11, 2023: Daneault was the most dangerous player on the ice for the Dragons and a consistent threat in the offensive zone. His hands were quick and smooth and he made nifty 1-on-1 moves to beat defenders. His toe drag was lethal as he could pull around defenders but also notched his lone goal on the night as he pulled the puck around the defender’s stick and rifled a missile short side high on the goaltender. Ty was slippery in tight spaces and could explode in open ice with the puck as he was just as fast with it as he was without it. Daneault is a mid-sized forward with deceiving strength as he could brace from contact and not get knocked off the puck. Ty has a wicked release that he was able to get off from anywhere on the ice and was a threat each time he touched the puck. He found creative ways to make guys miss and could navigate his way to the net untouched almost willingly. He also notched an assist on the night after he took a sharp-angle shot from along the wall that left a juicy rebound for his linemate to finish. Grade: A-

AJHL: 2022-23 AJHL Opening Night Games, September 23, 2022: Ty was a consistent threat offensively and scored 2 goals in this game. His first came on the PP in which his team made several nice passing plays and give-and-goes. He was excellent in the bumper position on the PP moving the puck quickly and utilizing give-and-goes with his teammates to promote excellent movement. He scored from the bumper position catching a pass on his forehand and wasting no time to quickly snap it off his stick with good velocity and accuracy to beat the goalie top shelf short side. He scored again in the 3rd getting to a loose puck at the L post. Grade: B

AJHL: Blackfalds Bulldogs vs Drumheller Dragons, February 6, 2022: The hero of the night won the game late for the Dragons late in the third period. Daneault’s biggest attribute other than his creativity is his ability to capitalize on chances given to him. He does not just score a goal, but capitalizes to get his shot to the net and on net in a grade A scoring area. He scored a nice goal extending his possession in the offensive zone and getting the puck from low to high. Daneault attacked the net after his pass and lurked around in the high slot for an optimistic rebound. The rebound came and after a little fake and hesitation, he lifted the puck over the goalies shoulder for the game winner. Grade: A-

2004s: October AMBHL Report, November 2018: Ty uses his low powerful stride to get around the ice at speed. He has a natural playmaking ability, his poise and patience with the puck is excellent, and his ability to buy time with his feet and stickhandling is very good. Ty likes to use his speed and vision off the rush to make plays to streaking teammates. He works hard at both ends of the ice using a strong work ethic and high IQ to read and react well to plays. While he has a nice shot, it does lack the explosion off of the stick we’d like to see. Grade: B+
