Comments: White had a really strong game. He moved really well around the crease, showing fluid movement, strong balance and movement with urgency to get to his spots early and get set for shots. His angles & depth management was excellent all game. He also demonstrated a high hockey IQ, reading the plays well & scanning for threats. This combined with his overall strong movement resulted in excellent rebound control. He did well relative to quality and volume of shots faced, stopping 2.6 goals above expected. He also provided timely saves on quality scoring chances at key points in the game. This was especially evident during the penalty kill in the first period. His key stops kept the game even till Fargo could assert control of the game & secure the win.

Jack Fichthorn (G, L, 6’0″, 173, Sioux City Musketeers, 05/10/2007)

Fichthorn showed strong movement through out the game, utilizing powerful pushes to maintain an aggressive depth position. His ability to read plays and arrive early at shots was impressive, allowing him to control rebounds on most shots faced. He demonstrated good situational awareness, making key saves on quality scoring chances at critical moments. While not overly flashy with the puck, he did so effectively when given opportunities.

Comments: Fichthorn played well overall. He demonstrated strong play reading & hockey IQ during rush chances faced. His movement was very economical, well balanced and very technically sound. His movement in this game appeared stiff at times which limited his power and urgency. There were a few instances where arrived at his spots right as the shot was being released, limiting his ability to get set before the shot. His movement improved as the game went on but will need to improve going forward. He did well relative to the shot quality and volume faced, stopping 1.3 goals above expected. He showed overall strong rebound control, showing positive control on 83% of the shots faced. Lastly, he played the puck well. He was aggressive in stopping rims & dump ins often making the simple yet effective pass to his defensemen to initiate quick& controlled breakout.
