Grade: B
Comments: Madison: Ajay White (2006) The Pennsylvania native has some technicality to his movement but lacks power and precision. Tending to fall behind plays he wasn’t able to fully set his feet on threats and put stress on his upcoming movements. His shoulder checks aid in reading plays and are more frequent when around the goal line. An active stick helps deflect passes from behind the goal line, but his precision and backside regain when in his posts lacks and he must regain positioning. Some rebounds were left in dangerous areas or unable to hang onto. Getting behind plays or guessing on lateral plays caused some of the blemishes on his game sheet. Staying inside his crease and playing calm is where he finds success instead of scrambling outside of his crease. With this 4-3 loss we will see how the Madison goaltender progresses. Grade: B
Adam Dybal (G, L, 6’1″, 184, Tri City Storm, 09/02/2005)
Grade: B+
Comments: Tri-City: Adam Dybal (2005) The 2005 born Czechian movement is sound, where he lacks is in precision and centering his body on pucks. His weight shifts tend to pull his body weight forward or side to side affecting his movement. Fluid movement and comfortable inside his posts makes awkward angles seamless although getting caught once in this contest. Sealing the ice and covering low makes percentage saves. Tracking pucks well you can visually see his head make shoulder checks and scans. Controlling rebounds higher to his hands and body well but kicking out pucks to his pads and an inactive stick puts pucks back into high traffic and dangerous areas. Making 30-33 saves in this contest is enough to help secure the win for Tri-City. Grade: B+
