General Game Notes: Prince George vs Spokane, Played in Spokane October 3, 2025. Prince George controlled the pace, they maintained possession offensively for the majority of the game. Was a tight checking game with lots of physicality. Both teams had powerplay opportunities with Prince George having multiple late in the game, one leading to the GWG.

Comments: Ravensbergen is a tall, composed goaltender who uses his 6’5′ frame effectively to control his crease. He displays efficient movement and sharp positional play, consistently getting good depth before shots come in. In the second period, he made an impressive backdoor save, showing excellent push strength and awareness to seal the post and take away the top corner. His rebound control was steady, directing pucks to safe areas and limiting second-chance opportunities, especially on the penalty kill in the second period. His calm demeanor and ability to stay set before shots make him a reliable, confident presence in goal.

Comments: Carels is a skilled two-way defenceman who plays with confidence and control on both sides of the puck. He consistently held offensive zone blue lines, keeping plays alive through smart positioning and strong puck movement. Defensively, he showed good gap control, breaking up multiple entries early. He displayed good awareness on an odd-man rush in the second period, where he dropped to a knee to block a cross-ice pass on a 2-on-1. On the penalty kill, he delivered a well-timed hit at the blue line to deny an entry. His poise under pressure was evident with a great slip pass through a forechecker’s legs to start a breakout while absorbing contact. His ability to read the game and combine defensive reliability and offensive skill makes him a key piece on the PG back end.

Comments: Souch is a smart two-way player who combines physicality with strong stick positioning and puck movement. He finishes checks, breaks up plays with an active stick, and contributes on both the power play and penalty kill. On the third-period power play, he switched positions with the quarterback, using deception to draw a defender and then slide the puck to Gizowski for a one-timer goal. On the penalty kill, he disrupted a play in the third and quickly joined a partial break to create a 2-on-1 chance. While he can continue improving his faceoff work, his speed, hockey IQ, and versatility make him an effective contributor in all situations.

Comments: Gizowski is a quick, skilled forward with confidence in offensive situations. On the power play in the third period, he showcased strong vision and composure, moving the puck effectively through seams while under pressure. His shooting ability stood out on the game-winning goal in the third on the power play, a one-timer placed just above the pad and inside the short-side post. Gizowski’s ability to combine pace with poise and finish makes him a dependable offensive threat.

Comments: Foster is a strong 6’2′ power forward who uses his size effectively to protect the puck and drive play. In the second period, he created a high-quality scoring chance by protecting the puck with his body and stickhandling into the middle under pressure. Late in the game, his compete level stood out as he outmuscled a defender in a one-on-one battle, drawing a penalty. He also displayed good puck skills on the power play, showing control and composure in tight spaces. Foster’s combination of size, puck protection, and compete makes him a difficult player to defend against.

Comments: Parascak is a highly skilled forward with good puck handling, vision, and passing ability. Early in the second period, he made a great pass from the half-wall to the middle, through a closing defenceman to set up a partial breakaway. In the second period, he collected a stretch pass at the offensive blue line for a breakaway, using quick hands to make the goaltender bite before displaying patience with the puck to wait out the goaltender to roof the puck in tight. His combination of skill, creativity, and composure in high-pressure moments makes him a dynamic offensive contributor.

Comments: Esler is an athletic goaltender with strong tracking, depth, and movement in the net. He displayed his athleticism with a huge glove save late in the first period through heavy traffic and a side-to-side splits save on a one-timer during the penalty kill. In the second period, he stopped multiple breakaway chances, maintaining control and not allowing rebounds even while under contact in the crease. Esler stayed calm and composed in the net throughout the game, and showcased his athleticism to close off the post on a 1-on-1 deke.

Comments: Mayes is a gritty, physical defenceman who consistently finishes checks and impacts play with his physicality. He delivered multiple big hits over the course of the game and is difficult to play against. Offensively, he runs the top of the power play, using strong puck skills along the offensive blue line to create opportunities. He can sometimes be over-aggressive and can continue to work on improving his first pass to become a dominant special-teams threat defenceman.

Comments: Armstrong is a fearless, high-energy forward who impacts the game with physicality and high compete. On the penalty kill, he made multiple key shot blocks on the, demonstrating his willingness to sacrifice his body to prevent scoring chances. He uses his strength effectively on the forecheck, consistently applying pressure and creating turnovers. In addition to his defensive contributions, he shows flashes of offensive upside by generating chances off the rush and sustaining pressure in the offensive zone.

Comments: Harrington is a skilled, high-IQ forward with excellent vision and puck-handling ability. On the power play, he made creative plays, including a backdoor seam pass and a quick pass through an opponent’s legs, accepting pressure to maintain zone possession. Early in the game, he displayed toughness by defending a teammate after a hit in an early fight. His combination of soft hands, creativity, and hockey sense allows him to handle pressure effectively and create scoring chances for himself and teammates, especially on the power play.

He scored in the second period by collecting a rebound through a battle in front of the net, demonstrating stick strength and tenacity. Off the following faceoff, he used his top-end speed to gain the zone and thread a pass through a defender, setting up a high-quality scoring chance. His combination of speed, physicality, and puck awareness makes him a consistent threat on both ends of the ice.

Comments: Preston is a quick, shifty forward with excellent skating and edgework. In an early 4-on-4 situation, he controlled the puck and dictated the play with smooth transitions and quick cuts. He showcased his speed by beating out an icing in the second period and showed great puck control while 1 on 1 with the defenceman. On the power play, he found seams and shooting lanes effectively, using a quick release to generate scoring chances. His combination of pace, agility, and playmaking makes him a dynamic offensive driver.
