General Game Notes: Power plays brought goals; both teams’ goaltenders struggled a little bit. Power plays looked good, but Seattle controlled the pace. They had more pressure, more chances, and more grade A chances. Victoria could not stop the Seattle offence and power play.

Created a highlight-reel goal with speed through the middle, pulling the puck under a defender’s stick and finishing forehand-backhand as the PP expired. Comments: Smooth-skating, smart defenseman with strong gaps and puck movement. Closed space well on entries and finished checks. Made a big sliding breakup on a 2-on-1, completely taking away the pass, and limited the shooter’s space. Following the broken play, he pressured the second wave to transition play the other way. Delivered a heavy open-ice hit at center. Despite being undersized, his skating, gap control, and puck movement allow him to play a big game.
