William Dufour (4 Star Amateur Rating, NHL Grade — C+) Forward
William potted a nifty goal in this one taking a feed on his backhand from Nickl to out wait the goalie and deke him out. The physical tools are all there for Dufour showing off a strong frame with good balance and strength on his feet. His touch with the puck is soft as well handling the puck well away from his body or even making nice plays when the puck is tight on his body. In this game he created a lot of opportunities off high cycles and quick give and go plays. Moving forward Dufour needs to shoot the puck at a higher rate as he’s trying to make the perfect play or make things look to cute. Consistency and engagement throughout the game is key as well- there were certain shifts and a span throughout the game where he looked disinterested. If he can play consistent, uses his hard shot along with his hockey sense Dufour projects to be a solid power forward with good offensive instincts.
