Yegor Zavragin

Zavragin is an average sized athletic goalie who relies on his instincts to make saves. Often times he is playing deep in the net, almost with his heels on the goal line. He does have explosive inside edge thrust when moving post to post, but for our liking there are too many times when he gets himself outside of his crease and ends up spinning around looking for the puck behind him.

Statistically last year in 31 MHL Games he had a 1.92 GAA and a 0.920 SVP%, compared to 2.20 GAA and a 0.910 SVP% so far through 13 MHL games. His scoring area save percentage is roughly the same with 84% in 21/22 versus 85% during 22/23. Last season Zavragin saved 89% of the breakaways he faced compared to 86% so far this season. And lastly, last season he saved 67% of the 18 shootout attempts he faced while this year has stopped 5 of the 9 shootout attempts he’s faced.
