
Lawrence Academy vs BB&N

The first game of the year for both LA and BB&N Friday night at Lawrence Academy, the first period ended scoreless at 0-0. The Spartans carried the play outshooting BB&N 22-1.
The second starting halfway through the second period with a goal from Lawrence Academy Senior defenseman Drew Bavaro (Bradenton, FL) beating the goalie far corner with the assists from two UNH commits Junior Connor Sweeney (North Andover, MA) and new Sophmore David Sacco (Middleton, MA). The next year Providence commit Tyler Young (Lancaster, MA) found the back of the net beating BB&N goalie John Day (North Reading, MA), helping out on the play were Junior Sam Colangelo (Stoneham, MA) and new Sophmore Riley Duran (Woburn, MA). End of the second period 2-0 LA.
Just a few minutes into the third, Tyler Young potted his second of the night. Ridge Hubbard (Vial, CO) slide a D-D pass to Griffin Delaney (Ashby, MA) who found Young cross ice for a wide open net and finish. Lawrence Academy found the back of the net of again, Drew Bavaro had his second of the night coming from Braden Doyle (Lynnfield, MA) and Tyler Young (Lancaster, MA). The Spartans closed out the night with Tyler Young completing the hat trick with a great look from fellow Providence Commit Riley Duran to close out the scoring and give LA the win, 5-0.
Ian Graiff (Newfield, NJ) turned away all 7 shots in the win and John Day had 65/70 saves for the Knights.
The Spartans got off to a slow slot but eventually started to move the puck and find the back of the net, they get back in action next Wednesday 12/5 in the first of two ISL Keller matchups with Milton Academy. BB&N has to play back to back with Brooks coming into town in a big Eberhart match-up.
