Concord, NH – We have two New Hampshire teams clashing in a Wednesday night matchup at St. Paul’s School. Matteo Vessella is in goal for St. Paul’s and Simon Bellavigna for Brewster.
Brewster strings together a few strong shifts and generates shots on goal early. St. Paul’s is able to bounce back with a goal by Finian Kilbourne who puts a good individual effort to walk into the slot and shoot one low glove to gain the lead. Total domination by St. Paul’s after the goal. Strong puck possession by James Buchan helps establish good offensive zone possessions. A good pass across the slot to Max O’Regan who one times it but a great save by Bellavigna keeps things 1-0. Point shot by Luke Smolan finds a seam around 2 minutes left but strong positioning by Vessella, keeps it out.
Less than two minutes into the second period, some great passing in the slot by Callum Green who slides it over to Harry Dermody for the games second goal, 2-0 SPS. Brewster dominated for most of the 2nd. Good individual effort to generate a chance on goal by Maxwell Rusov but not enough to sustain. Just after, St. Paul gets a chance right on the doorstep by Max Romano but again Bellavigna makes a great save. Great shot by Carter Doherty in the high slot beats Bellavigna high on the blocker side, nothing he could do, 3-0 Pelicans. Puck scramble in front with 2:04 in the second and John Bentley fights for it and squeaks it through to extend the lead to 4-0 which is how the period would end.
St. Paul’s picks up right where they left off, dominance with the puck early in the period. Anderson Kilbourne walks it into the slot, shooting one low and gets the fifth goal of the game. Another goal, and the last of the game from Green. The game would finish exactly how its been for most of the game with dominant play by the Pelicans. Our final at St. Paul’s, 6-0.
