Brad McLaughlin has been involved in the hockey industry for as long as he can remember. He played travel hockey out of Maine for five years until injuries ended his playing career. Brad coached minor hockey and girls’ high school teams throughout his university years and the first five years of his teaching career, up until 2005. From 2005 to 2017, he worked with the Woodstock Junior A Slammers in various roles, including play-by-play announcer, in-rink PA, and billet coordinator. Brad then secured a position as a Statistical Analytics Specialist for Statstrack, working with teams from U11 to the professional level, breaking down games. After COVID, he completed the ISS Scouting course and was named Amateur Scout of the Year in 2021. Following this, he joined the Fredericton Junior A Red Wings as an Atlantic Canadian Scout and is now their Head Scout. Brad began working for Neutral Zone in September, 2023 and has loved every second of it.
