Christian Schurmann-Colicchio joins Neutral Zone as an Illinois Regional Scout for 2024-2025. Schurmann-Colicchio is a 2019 graduate of Indiana University, where he was the all-time leading goal-scorer for the Hoosiers’ ACHA team. He also finished his career second all-time in points and was named the 2018-19 Men’s Athlete of the Year. After graduating from Indiana, Schurmann-Colicchio played professionally in Germany for EC Lauterbach in the Hessenliga.
Following his playing career, Schurmann-Colicchio gained experience on both the agency and team sides of scouting. He worked with GDA Hockey for over a year and currently works with Import Sports Management, a hockey agency based in Ontario. He also served as a Regional Scout for the CT Jr. Rangers in the NCDC for over three years and is currently the Head of U.S. Scouting for the Sherwood Park Crusaders in the BCHL.
A native of River Edge, NJ, Schurmann-Colicchio is based in Chicago, where he coaches skills at Ford Hockey School and recently finished coaching at New Trier High School.
