Stephon Williams was born in Fairbanks, AK and started playing goalie at 7 yrs old. He began his junior career with the Sioux Falls Stampede and played with the Waterloo Blackhawks his second year as well.
Williams played for 3 years at Minnesota State University – Mankato where he was drafted in the 4th round of the NHL draft by the NY Islanders. He went on to play 2.5 years in their organization and then signed with the SJ Barracuda in AHL. Williams spent his final two years in Europe where he was a part of the championship-winning team in the top Slovakian league and finished his career in the second German league. Since retiring from playing he has coached youth hockey and has been scouting for several years.
