Tomasino was one of the bigger moves on Thursday, which we covered in a separate story.
“A highly skilled forward who can stickhandle his way out jams, is a strong, powerful skater and has exceptional poise and patience in alone on goalies,” our scouts said. “His best attribute, however, is between the ears; his hockey sense and vision are top-notch. He is able to read the ice and make plays at full speed and while getting hit because of his keen awareness and balanced stride.”
Other big moves on Thursday included Daylon Groulx being dealt to Ottawa for three draft picks. Our scouts have noted in past viewings that Groulx has the ability to be a goal-scorer and an agitator. This season, he has 17 points and 57 PIMs in 36 games.
Our scouts also like Serron Noel, who was dealt on Thursday to Kitchener from Oshawa for Ryan Steplen and four draft picks.
