Halifax and Cape Breton squared off for the second night in a row, with this one serving as the Mooseheads home opener. Both teams played with energy, but with young rosters each club made a number of mistakes that cost them on the scoreboard. Final score was 5-4 Eagles in OT.

October 9, 2020 – This game ended in a 4-2 win for Moncton, but that score was not indicative of how the game played out, and was actually quite flattering for Halifax. The Wildcats outplayed the Mooseheads throughout the game, generated more scoring chances and dominated possession of the puck.
