Neutral Zone NHL’s Ian Moran’s comments, May 2021: I like his game and his reliability. In the defensive zone he maintains line-ups and has a very active stick that he seems to get on seem passes. He can provide leadership and is basically an honest two-way player with a nice offensive skill set even though he doesn’t put up a lot of points. At his size what it will come down to is a General Manager thinking he can provide more from a bottom six role in the National League better than a 6’1″ 205 pounder out of Moose Jaw or North Dakota. I’m honestly not sure if he can, but I am always a fan of kid who’s worn a letter in the past.
Neutral Zone’s Ed Besinger, May 2021: Sisu is a smaller Finnish winger standing at 5’11’’ and 158 pounds. He played this past season for Karpat in the U20 Finnish League. He scored 14 points (five goals) in 34 league games. He also dressed for seven games at the U18s for Team Finland where he scored a goal and an assist. He is a solid two-way forward that plays on the defensive side of the puck and helps his defenders. He has quick feet and a quick first step to jump on loose pucks. He reacts quickly and is agile to change directions. Effective on the penalty kill and takes good angles pressuring the puck. High motor and compete level and makes it difficult for defenders to make plays. Has some touch on his passes in tight. Makes nice plays to free-up teammates in space. Slick hands to pull pucks in tight and beat defenders. Darts in-and-out of traffic and does a good job finding soft ice in the offensive zone. Will show-up right before the puck gets to an area. He is smart and controlled on the line rush and will change pace to buy time and space and create passing lanes. Will need to get a bit stronger and play more on the interior of the ice.
