OHL: Saginaw Spirit vs Mississauga Steelheads, March 2020: Lennox was not challenged for much of the first, but once Mississauga got rolling they peppered him. Lennox was constantly dealing with middle drive traffic and down hill tips coming on line rushes and often times forced to make very athletic last second saves on redirections. Saginaw won 6-2 and by our count Lennox faced 23 shots with 19 of them coming in the second and third periods.
OHL: Saginaw Spirit vs Flint Firebirds, November 2019: Although Lennox gave up three goals during the first twenty five minutes of action there was little doubt that he came ready to play. In total he faced four breakaways and one two on zero in that time, but he stayed calm and focused giving the Spirit a chance to gather themselves and go for the win. We were impressed with Lennox’s ability to fight for his sight lines while Flint was cycling and creating net front havoc. There were times that he seemed to get out side of his paint while scrambling, but he always seemed to appear settled and focused for the shot. We liked his ability to play the puck and generate 200′ clears while shorthanded.
2018 Eastern Canada Cup, December 2018: It doesn’t take long to pick out the talent in this young netminder. He has size, length and is very athletic. Although he didn’t see a lot of minutes, he made his presence felt as one the youngest players in the tournament. Very impressive for his age being thrown into this environment at such a tough position. He competed to find pucks through traffic and tracked them very well. His athleticism allowed him to make some save on secondary chances. CHL: OHL
OHL Gold Cup, May 2018: Lennox displayed confidently throughout the tournament why he was the first goaltender selected in the OHL Draft. He is hard to beat low and quickly recovers when he is down. His aggressive play in the finals vs an elite offensive GTHL Red team was excellent early and was the difference in the game. In a spirited end to end affair Lennox made a number of key saves in the first two periods to keep his team in the lead.
2018 OHL Draft Rankings, March 2018: Tristan Lennox is an athletic butterfly goalie with some blocking attributes included in his game. He has a big body presence in the blue paint and plays with drive. He has size, mobility, and confidence is contagious for the team that plays in front of him. Tristan has a very high compete level and is a focused goaltender. One thing Tristan shows time and time again is his attention to detail with the puck. He tries to catch or smother every shot, and he battles intensely to find rebounds that get away from his reach.
Marlies Holiday Classic, February 2018: Tristan Lennox is an athletic butterfly goalie with some blocking attributes included in his game. Tristan continues to raise his game and is in the discussion as one of the top goaltenders available in the 2018 OHL Draft. Tristan had size, mobility, and confidence – in viewings in the Marlie tournament we noticed he seemed more relaxed in the net than in past viewings. His feet were quiet, angles well covered and he made the saves look easy the majority of times.
GTHL 2017 Prospects All-Star Game, December 2017: Bigger goaltender who challenges shooters and displayed mobility. Competes hard for loose pucks and showed good speed and agility in the net. He gave up 3 in the first half of the game and shows a vulnerability to high shots.
Battle of the Border, December 2017: Tristan has all the tools to take him a long way at a tough position to play. He has a perfect mix of size and athleticism to go along with strong puck tracking. His calm presence made things look easy while he turned down shot after shot. There were not a lot of big second chance opportunities due to his great rebound control.
Wendy Dufton, October 2017: Tristan is an athletic butterfly goalie with some blocking attributes included in his game. He has a big body presence in the blue paint and plays with drive. Lennox gave up very little in the Reps net in their second trip to a semi finals in the first two major tournaments of the year.
U14: The Cup North American Championship, January 2017: Big goalie that won the tournament for his team. Great down low and very good at handling the puck. Tracks pucks very well and always square to the shooter. He is technically sound and moves well in the crease. He is a butterfly type player who handled most shots with confidence. Had a shutout in the semis.
