Comments: Leo had a very strong game in net for Green Bay. He had excellent movement all game, moving quickly and well balanced. He maintained a proper stance tracking down on the puck while moving around the crease and tracking the puck through screens. One things that stood out was his ability to move powerfully from post to post in the RVH. He demonstrated a high hockey IQ and play reading, when combined with his movement allowed him to arrive to his spots early and on his feet ready for the shot. This resulted in a 93% positive rebound control. He stopped 1.15 goals above expected based on the volume and quality of shots faced. He also had several timely saves, providing stops on quality scoring chances at key moments in the game. This was especially evident with a 2 on 0 stop in the second period and several stops late in the third period.
Caleb Heil (G, L, 6’2″, 196, Madison Capitols, 06/17/2006, North Dakota)
Game Rating
C+
Heil showcased strong fundamental skills in the game, demonstrating excellent movement and balance around the crease. He consistently displayed proper play reading and high hockey IQ, allowing him to identify scoring threats quickly and set up for shots effectively. While he struggled with angles initially, he adjusted his positioning and provided solid goaltending throughout. In addition to his on-ice decision-making, Heil also displayed strong puck-handling skills, making effective passes to his defenders and occasionally initiating zone exits. His overall performance suggests that this game may not be representative of his typical play.

Comments: Caleb played well and has strong underlying fundamentals to his game. He consistently maintains proper balance when moving around the crease. This is especially noticeable in his post integration. He has strong play reading and hockey IQ. Thie combination of his movement and play reading resulted in 95% positive rebound control on the shots faced. He had a negative goals above expected (-.15) based on the volume and quality of shots faced. He demonstrated exceptional puck handling skills throughout the game. He routinely intercepted dump ins and made accurate passes to his defensemen to initiate a quick and uncontested breakout. He also initiated zone exits directly to his wingers going glass & out to his forwards in the neutral zone, this allowed Madison to quickly gain offensive zone entries off Caleb’s initial pass.
