Comments: Axelsson played well overall to secure the victory for his team. Axelsson had strong movement and was well balance throughout the game. He sat back deep in his crease at times but was able to correct his depth on the fly. He had good play reading & in zone scanning to identify potential offensive threats. While did not have a high volume of shots he did well with the shots he faced, stopping 2 goals above expected. He has strong rebound control as well. He was aggressive in playing the puck and clearly has the physical skill to do so, some of his decisions could have been better as passes occasionally put his teammates in a position where they did not have a clean zone exit. Overall he showed great mental focus to provide quality goaltending despite a limited workload.

Comments: Trejbal had a strong game and played well. He has average size but exceptional movement and balance. Combined with great reads/in zone awareness & high hockey IQ he was often on top of the play arriving to his spots early and setting his feet to prepare for the shot. His post integration was impressive as he was able get into and out of his post seals efficiently while retaining his speed. He relied a little too much on the RVH selecting the maneuver when it was warranted but it did not negatively impact his game. His angles and depth management were on point all game. He stopped 3 goals above expected relative to his shot volume and shot quality. He also demonstrated strong rebound control. He made several timely saves, stopping quality scoring chances at key moments in the game, especially late in the third period. Lastly he played the puck effectively making simple yet effective breakout passes to his defense initiating clean zone exits.
