Comments: Charrios is a smaller goalie that moves really well. He demonstrated consistent balance while executing movements around the crease. He also showed a high hockey IQ, reading plays well & continuously scanning his defensive zone for threats from the opposition. He did have a tendency to sit deep in his crease (especially in the first period) but got better as the game went on. His lack of depth was exposed on the 2nd goal. He provided average goaltending relative to the shot volume and quality faced. He saved less than 1 goal above expected. He did demonstrate excellent rebound control (89% positive). He used his athleticism to battle through screens to maintain proper site lines on the puck. He also played the puck effectively, often making simple reliable first passes to his defensemen to initiate a quick breakout.

Comments: Pradel had a very strong game. As has been observed in other games, his movement and balance were excellent. He moves extremely well which is rare for someone his size. He executed quick, powerful & well balances maneuvers all game allowing him to track the puck well and maintain squareness to the puck. He also demonstrated great awareness and play reading limiting his need for desperation saves. While he has proper form & save selection, he showed the ability to break form when necessary to make unconventional saves on net front scrambles. He did well relative to the volume & quality of the shots faced, he saved almost 3 goals above expected. Despite the heavy workload he maintained proper rebound control/retention, he controlled his rebounds on approximately 80% of the shots faced. He showed the ability to deliver quality saves at key moments during the game (especially late in the 3rd period) to ensure victory. Lastly he handled the puck really well, making smart plays for either a simple pass to his defense or a flashier play up to his winger – either option led to quick zone exits for Tri-City allowing them to spend less time in their defensive zone and quickly going on the attack.
