Visa Vedenpää

Vedenpaa is a very quick athletic goalie who is not afraid to show emotion after a big save. We have literally seen him pump his fist or flex after making a brilliant post to post save or after robbing someone of an open net one-timer. He has the skating ability to come out his net to play the puck on hard wrap arounds and he shows the awareness to leave the puck in a position so his defensemen can gather the puck on their forehands. So far on the 2022/23 season Vedenpaa has an overall 0.914 SV% and a scoring area save percentage of 0.850%. He is giving up 0.68 shorthanded goals per game and has a 0.890 SV% on breakaways. We have noticed that he drops his blocker low while he’s looking through screens and his opponents seem to know this too.
