Michael Garteig enters his fourth season on the Neutral Zone video scouting staff, focusing on the BCHL and USHL. A standout goaltender in the BCHL for three seasons, Garteig went on to play four seasons for Quinnipiac University and, upon graduation, signed a professional contract with the Vancouver Canucks. Since then, he has accrued nine years of professional experience, with stints in the AHL, ECHL, Liiga, and DEL. Garteig will continue his playing career this coming season, marking his fourth year with ERC Ingolstadt in the DEL. Additionally, Garteig owned his own goaltending school for three seasons and has coaching experience from working at goalie camps and Division 1 prep camps throughout New England. The BCHL’s top goaltender award is named the “Michael Garteig Award” in his honor.
