Manitoba Regional Scout
Allan Hicks serves as a Manitoba Regional Scout for Neutral Zone. Hicks played ice hockey while earning his B.Ed. at the University of Regina and has since scouted for the Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the Neepawa Titans of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He has also coached at various levels across Western Canada, from novice to AAA and Jr. A, and spent several summers working for the Okanagan group in Penticton, B.C., including a year at their European Academy in St. Pölten, Austria. In 2011, Hicks earned his Master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Alberta and currently serves as the vice principal at a rural school with approximately 400 students in Boissevain, Manitoba. Hicks is proudly married to Victoria Neifeld, and they have two children, Zak and Zoe. Both are accomplished athletes in their own right, with Zak having played hockey at the University of Regina and Zoe being a member of the Canadian national softball team.
