Terry Willis

Region: Ontario

Ontario Regional Scout

One-Year OHL Player

A native of Streetsville, ON, Terry Willis credits the lessons learned from playing for and learning from the likes of Arnie Brown, Dick Todd, Roger Neilson, Rick Tarasuk, and Marlin Muylaert for making him the coach, scout, and person he is today. An accomplished player, Willis played minor hockey in the MTHL and COJHL, winning the COJHL Best Defenseman Award twice. Willis went on to play for the Peterborough Petes in the OHL before four years of CIAU hockey, where he reached the national championships twice. After hanging up the skates, Willis continued to serve, coaching AAA minor hockey as a non-parent head coach for 15 years. Currently the head coach for the U14 AAA Hamilton Steel, he coaches to give back to the game, much like the dedicated, influential hockey coaches he had. Willis is a proud husband and is grateful for his wife, Alison, who allows him to continue being a part of the game.
